My page views, so will make it worthwhile from now own for people to view my page. Thats a lot of views, and i am embarrassed that I am just here on spark people not making ANY progress. That is all going to change. I have a Gala to attend August 26th, first time ever being in a ball gown, and I want to look good.

I am adding a picture so you see how I look as off today May 26 2011.
I am not proud of it at all but I DO WANT TO CHANGE.

With 3 months until GALA, it's time to start thinking about what you want your dress to look like...not time to BUY it yet, because if it fits you now, you will be TOO SMALL for it in 3 months!

Sweetheart, you wear that smile with the gown, and you WILL look beautiful no matter HOW much you weigh!!!

But, since we all obviously want to weigh LESS for those special occasions (and every other day!), I'm here to cheer you on and assure you that emoticon !

Wow what a list! They would be great for your visual poster of where you see yourself one day. Big long term goals.

Sometimes I wish I were someone different. Decide that I am going to change and BAM! Just do it. LOL Or all the things. BAM BAM BAM! My journey has been gentle and slow. I was like a toddler learning to walk. Unlearning bad habbits and learning new ones. Baby steps. My biggest accomplishment was learning to do anything healthy, consistently. Every day. I'd try then forget, give up, not care. I don't even know why sometimes I could not. Spark People had me setting little tiny goals. Can I get fit by doing only ten minutes of exercise a day? No, probably not. But by trying to find something small to do every day I learned to brainstorm and I learned that I can do ten minutes of exercise a day and ten minutes is better than no minutes. So that feeling of all or nothing changed in me. Instead it is good, better, best. Yup, would love to do an hour workout but if I can't then I can do a short walk and if I can't then I can at least do a couple of reps with my hand weights. Yup, love to do a bible study, but if I can't then I can read a chapter of my Bible and if I can't then I can read the devotion of the day or write down something I am grateful for. Yup, would love to eat perfectly but if I can't, then make sure I eat three real meals a day and if I can't then eat three fruits and veg. a day. It is no longer about perfection for me. It is about celebrating each step towards my goal. Every time I make a choice to DO something no matter how small is a success. I may not see huge changes but they are changes in the right direction and I feel good about myself. No more beating myself up. I think God would not give me a hard time about my failures so why should I? He would grab me up and hug me for each step I make towards Him.

Mommy ummmm your FAT!!!

Sunday, May 16, 2010

So today my 4 yr old son told me "mommy looks like you gonna have a baby" at which point he proceeded to pinch my belly repeatedly. Ok so maybe i put on 40lbs but i did not think my kids really noticed.

I suppose I am not happy in my skin anymore. I have had too much on my plate and inorder to balance it all I kinda let myself go and gained back the lost 35lbs and 5lbs more for good measure. I am so inspired by all my spark peeps and all the weight loss blogs I follow, i just reall would love some of that success for myself too.

I am just going to do it... because i feel like I have talked enough about it. Its just time to do it.

Watch this space....
