Tip of the Day - The Victor

Tip of the Day - The Victor

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you donít
If you like to win but think you canít,
Itís almost a cinch you wonít.

If you think youíll lose, youíre lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellowís will
Itís all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are.
Youíve got to think high to rise.
Youíve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize.

Lifeís battles donít always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

I just love this poem. It is so true. It is all your frame of mind that determines how you will do.

BTW the colors in the leaves on your page are gorgeous.

Tip of the Day - Source of goodness

Tip of the Day - Source of goodness

Be good to yourself by seeing and connecting with the goodness in life. Look on the bright side, and make it brighter.

Nothing is gained by feeling sorry for yourself. Nothing is gained by spreading misery or despair.

Sure, life has its troubles. Yet the great thing is, you don't have to let any of those troubles get to you.

Give your energy and awareness to the best possibilities of the moment. You can make something good happen today, so by all means do it.

Offer a healthy dose of joy to your situation. Feeling positive will take you much further than any alternative.

Be the brightest source of goodness in your corner of the world. Choose to feel great and truly you'll do great things.

So true. In fact the funny thing about anything that isn't positive is that seen in the right light it is!

Love brings up anything unlike itself for purposes of healing only.

It is when things get rough that we can find courage and fortitude.

Tip of the Day - Remember what you did wrong and what you did right

Tip of the Day - Remember what you did wrong and what you did right

Now that summer is over take a moment to think about some of the things that werenít the best when it comes to your weight loss plan. No, this isnít ďbeat yourself upĒ time, itís simply a time to reflect.

Maybe you decided to take the summer off and kind of let yourself go. Perhaps you put your exercise routine on hold and youíre low on energy. While you shouldnít dwell on these things, you should be mindful of them. Obviously, you canít change whatís already happened, but you can look to it for guidance in the future.

Use both your successes and failures to build on success today and tomorrow. True, it probably feels better to build on the things youíve done rightÖbut the importance of learning from your mistakes should never be undervalued.

Good advice. If one isn't learning I don't think their life is being lived to the fullest. Thanks!

Tip of the Day - Change your mind and your body will follow

Tip of the Day - Change your mind and your body will follow

Whatís the best way to stick to your weight loss goals? Different things work for different people. One way is to set mini-goals, and when you reach them, reward yourself. Or write down daily reminders of what you need to do to stay true to your program.

Those are all great ways to keep your progress moving forward, but the real key to finding success comes from your head. Without the right mindset in place, it can be extremely difficult to keep motivated. Sure, mini-goals are great, and rewards will work to some degree. But itís an entire mind change that makes the absolute difference.

You must envision success. You must really want it! This is what is going to fuel your stamina to make it happen. Without it, youíll always lean toward weakness. So remember, most of your success starts in your head. Make the change there and your body will certainly oblige.

One expert says that personal finance is 20 percent head knowledge and 80 percent behavior. Sigh, the same applies here. You are so right. I'm gonna have to kick myself in the butt early in the day tomorrow to remind myself.

Tip of the Day - Keep your chin up

Tip of the Day - Keep your chin up

Wouldnít it be ideal if losing weight was all about doing well and making progress? We all know that life does not work like that. So letís be honest: you will face setbacks and challenges as youíre trying to lose weight, itís just reality. Now what?

If youíre faced with anything you consider a setback, itís human nature to feel discouraged. You might even question your program or contemplate giving up. Before you surrender, wait! It IS worth it Ė without a doubt!

The truth is we all face struggles when trying to lose weight. Challenges are part of the game and they CAN be overcome. The trick isnít trying to sidestep setbacks, itís figuring out how to deal with them. That starts with not giving up.

Stay hopeful and confident! No matter what has happened, donít let it derail you. Itís only temporary. Get right back on your program, your motivation will return, and youíll wonder why you questioned your resolve in the first place.

That is great advice ... plus a song kept on playing today when I watched part of Oprah today.

Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" now I can't get that song out of my head.
