WARNING - my pics

Welll I am finally adding my before pics. They are a little scary cause I really had to look 2 how far I've Iet my self backslide. Yes I can sit here and blame it on the surgery BUT the truth is I'm the one that didnt eat healthier after surgery; I'me the one when I was apprived for exercise didnt start.
So here are my b4 pics front - side then rear view.

    I wasn't brave enough to take before pictures and now I really wish I would have so I could show people what I was like compared to what I look like now. You have a wonderful testimony to share, we all let ourselves go and we are last on our priority list. I'm proud of you!!!

    Maga, be glad you took these pictures. You are on track now and these pictures are just your starting point. You will be so happy as you lose the weight and can compare your progress pictures to where you started. I applaud you for being brave enough to do this. It was hard for me to do it too, but once we are honest with ourselves, its the first step in the right direction.

You are awesome. So smile in your pictures from now on!

I still cant find the cord to my camera truth b known I havent even looked I guess I m more embarrassed about my pics then I thought I would be.

Soo anyway today I went to the gym for my win some lose some class; today it was zumba WOW. I actually did the entire 30 minutes. There were only 4 ppl in the class. So I wasn't so self-aware But wow it was rough funny thing I always wanted to do zumba just thought I had to wait until I lost most of my weight I was wrong - not only can I do it I really enjoyed it. God willing I will b going to another zumba class on Saturday b4 I go to my wsls class.

After the class I did a few upper body machines & I did ride the bike to the gym then back home.

I was planning to try to go to a spin class tomorrow BUT it is raining so bad not sure I'm gonna b up to it in the morning, regardless I so plan to get to the gym tomorrow.

Now its time to go finish cleaning the kitchen

    I'm so glad that you tried Zumba! I absolutely love it, I am head over heels nuts about it! In fact, I'm teaching it and I need to find ways to get people into class to try it, if you have some ideas, I'd love to hear them! I hope you keep going and keep loving it!

    I LOVE Zumba! Our classes are an hour and I'm the most uncoordinated person you can imagine, but I sure have fun with it anyway :-)

  Zumba is wonderful! Doesn't feel like exercise to me (things like the treadmill feel like a chore) - am tired and sweaty afterwards but smiling!

Win Some Lose Some Goals

I've set up my workout schedule for the next cpl wks. Hubby is being so support and is walking w me every morning & helping to keep me on my eating schedule.

Here are my WSLS Goals


1. to lose 100 lbs
2. not to use walker or cane
3. not to use nebulizer everyday
4. to complete the entire wsls program & to place
5. to be able to take care of my personal care w/o assistance


Week 1 12-17-12
eat every 3 hrs
go to 3 wsls classes
do the 90 day walk plan
do the 90 exercise plan

Week 2 12-24-12
all of wk 1 goals
do 2 other classes
drink more water

Week 3 12-31-12
all of wk 1 goals
d0 2 other classes
eliminate 3 bad items (soda fried foods - ? )

Week 4 1-7-13
all of wk 1/3 goals
add 3 good items (hot green tea apple ? )


Dec to lose 5 lbs

Jan to lose 20 lbs

tomorrow I will post my b4 pics - I have to find the cord to hook the camera to the laptop

Doll Dresses - this keeps my sanity

since hubby is still looking 4 a job; I've taken the odds n ends of yarn to crochet some doll dresses for my La La and now I'm gonna make some for the grands back in Jersey; for their 3 Kings Day gifts (they already got their CHRISTmas gifts)

thinking about adding a hat

thinking about adding booties

thinking what to add ? ? ?

today I think I will make a slipper for grumpy - don't mean to sound wrong but the good thing about having to do only 1 is that I can get creative w the pattern n don't have to match it up which sometimes is hard for me when I do alterations to patterns

Not Happy @ All

well the day started w me exhausted stayed up till after midnight last night to watch the football game; then I woke up twice during the night
so I get up @ 6 am to get La up for school - to the bus stop @ 6:40 bus there 8 mins later

as tired as I was I still went for the suggest 15 min walk as part of the win some/ lose some competition - came home n ate

@ 9 am headed to the gym for my first class - a 20 min bike ride there - 4 times around the gym then the excises n another 5 times around the gym - that was a quick 30 mins - rode about 10 mins towards home n 1 of the woman form the gym stopped me to offer me a ride to the orientation tonight n gave me a ride the rest way home

got picked up for orientation @ 5 got to the gym early noone seemed to really know what was really going on - they finally set us up in and explained the program to us the name will b getting changed to biggest loser something in Jan
they told us about the mthly prizes n that they r still registering ppl up until Feb 26
@ this point I m the person w the most weight to lose

I really like the 1 leader she even sparks n told the group about how sparkpeople is a great place to log food n to get info (she herself has lost 85 lbs n still plans to lose another 30 lbs

now the part that made me not happy @ all - THE WEIGH IN
well apparently my wii is like really off (we r charging the batteries now)


my starting stats on 12/17/12 are:
weight 288.6 lbs
chest 56
waist 53.5
hips 56

    I know its frustrating that the Wii gave you the wrong weight...but its just a number. Try focusing on non-scale victories now...they will keep you motivated. (it works for me!)
