just a quick blog my internet was out 4 most of the evening

slept half the day again 2day - this virus wow is it whipping my ass

I really thought I was over it well it wasnt I m once again
I knew this was gonna happen n even told hubby that I was gonna b sic while he was gone n it happened

so I did no real exercising 2day - I just want 2 focus on getting better but no matter what tomorrow I will 2 least get on the wii
I go t tired just from doing strength training

1 Month in North Carolina

1 month ago today we arrived in North Carolina; the 4 of us - me - hubby - La (granddaughter) & grumpy (my father). We have never been to NC b4 ; we dont know anyone where we live. but I do hava a half sister in Erwin even though we havent seen here since we been here

We were gonna lose the family home to back taxes n liens (1 was even 10 yrs old) but instead we were able to sell it; the house was falling apart even though we tried 4 the last 5 yrs to repair it then hurricane sandy had her way with it. But thats neither here nor there. We took the money to relocate. As we were trying to figure where to move ; many ppl suggestions came but hubby n I decided to move to nc I have a half sister in Erwin as we were looking she suggested Fayetteville. We looked it up on line found a great deal then it fell through so we decided to rent.

SOOOO I now live in Fayetteville North Carolina near the Hope Mills border. We live in a mobile home in a fenced in area w security. La loves it she can finally go outside and play w/o me having to b w her. I lived in Camden NJ 2nd most dangerous n poorest place to live in the US to live.
The ppl r so nice down here - I live living in a community where ppl believe like I do in values n courtesy. I enjoy the peace n quiet. Then there is the weather back home they in winter coats n we r sitting outside in t-shirts.

We dont drive n the nearest food store is 3 miles; so w me using the walker hubby n I will walk there then take a cab home (the is no buses in this area). But we get things done n have
a nice discount store ROSE's its now my new favorite store. And only a little over a mile from us is Family Dollar & Dollar General n they sell almost everything that we need other then the meat & fresh produce

We have only been here a mth but I love it not to mention that the place is the perfect size for us n even w my pains I can take care of this place n grumpy who is an amputee can get around in his wheelchair.

That sounds great - I could hardly believe it was 84 degrees here yesterday; we were sweating almost as much as the horses as we rode! Hubby had a business stint in Charlotte last summer & I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to visit him out there... New assignment is in Washington DC so I'm holding out for Spring Break! December Goals

I have 5 goals for December:

1. walk 2x a wk
2. stationary bike 2x a wk
3. wii 3x a wk
4. eat within calories 5x a wk
5. strength train 6x a wk


I decided 2 add 1 more thing for the month of December I am planning 2 blog everyday to c if this can help me 2 refocus on myself n look 2 how far I've come instead of how far I have 2 go

Thanksgiving 2012

this is our 1st thanksgiving in north carolina; so I decided 2 photograph

La trying 2 help the turkey fly

the night b4 dry rub

the closest store is 1.3 miles from us & we dont drive so
when I realized that we 4got the pie pans I improvized

baked macaroni the way hubby likes it

La & my version of a center piece

the table is set

our 1st NC Turkey

the 1ST time hubby has ever carved the turkey

yea she ate the whole thing

so that was our 1st North Carolina Thanksgiving in picutes

I M SO THANKFUL 4 SO MUCH

My 2 Anniversaries

was this past week along with my 13th wedding anniversary but I celebrated non of them as I was focused on moving.

My hubby n I have been in each others lives for about 30 yrs (I was even his 1st); we were suppose to renew our vows this yr but canceled n decided to move 525 miles instead. So instead of renewing our vows we are stating a new life together.

Now to spark- I was very successful in the beginning I had even lost over 60 lbs but then I had some health set backs which eventually lead to a spinal fusion may of 2011. I now almost back to my starting weight NOT GOOD
so as I start another yr here on spark I m restarting my healthy lifestyle - this time nxt yr I plan on their being alot less of me

I m so thankful for all of the anniversary wishes for both (ESPECIALLY FROM MY RUBY LITE FRIENDS)

My November goals are
1 to blog 2 x a wk
2 to strength train 6x a day
3 to log my food again
