2 YRS & I aint done yet

Well today marks 2 yrs on Sparkpeople. emoticon
And until today I wasnt happy with my progress.
The things I've realized is that I have changed alot. I still have my bad eating when it comes to chocolate but not as bad as it use to be. I also eat alot more veggies now. I have along way to go but like a dr made me realize today I have alot of health problems both physically n mentally and as long as I continue to try I m moving forward

So I will continue to work on my health issues n never give up,
This time next yr I will b under 200 lbs

    You can do it. I've been here for almost 4 years and continue to have my ups and downs and have yet to master my own issues. The important part is that you are still here and trying! You'll reach your goals! emoticon

    Happy Sparkversary!!!! I too get discouraged with where I'm not. We need to take the time and reflect on how far we have come in our journey. The scale may not reflect what we want it to and that is when we need to look at what we can do now, that we couldn't when we started this.

    You and I still have a ways to go before we feel we have met our goals but we have both made a lot of progress! I look at the strength I have gained and the agility I now have and am pleased. I am sure you have made the same types of discoveries.

NOVEMBER GOALS

Well I'm starting a little late with my November goals but they r starting tomorrow.
I will eat between 1000 & 1200 calories a day. I will also burn 3000 calories a wk.

I will continue to use upper body strenght triaing 3x a wk and lower body/core 3x a wk.
I will use the bowfles 3x a wk
I will use the wii 3x a wk
I will use the stationary bike 6x a wk

I m down to 235 lbs, so I'm feeling good about that although confused. I havent even been exercising much lately due to health issues. I plan on losing another 5 lbs by Thanksgivign but we'll c how that goes.

Had Youth Group tonight the kids decided that we are going to cook a Thanksgiving meal on Nov 21 and invite thepeople from the community to it

Well time to watch The Proposal and get some rest tomorrow La has soccer.

    Mega,
Congrats on the weight loss. Maybe try 1400 to 1600 calories before going to your goal calories for a couple of weeks to let your body adjust.

    Your calorie count seems low. If your body goes into starvation mode you may not loose. Be careful.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN - Oct recap

Today marks 11 yrs of marriage. They been some interesting yrs but I wouldnt trade them 4 anything.

Hubby took La trick or treating then to a Halloween Party @ Rutgers Camden Campus. They came home carved a pumpkin n now they watching football.

I m 41 yrs old my baby girl is 22 yrs old. I weigh 239 lbs n she weighs 229 lbs. 2 mths ago I teased her that my goal was to weigh less then her by Christmas @ that time I 249 lbs n she was 215 lbs. I think I might b able to do this. She is constantly complaining about her weight but wont exercise n then complains cause I weigh n measure my food. I may not b over joyed with my progress but I m happy about it. Cause this has been a rough month for me.

Money has been tight so not so much fresh food. I injured myself again so I havent been doing much exercising. BUT tomorrow is a new day, a new month & a new beginning. In a little over a wk will mark my 2 yr sparkaversary. I thought I would b further along in my healthy lifestyle then I m but its ok I'M STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS.

My front crown came out AGAIN Friday night about an hr b4 our Fall Festival, the kids thought I had a black out tooth 4 halloween. I will b @ the dentist @ 10:30 prayerfully they can fix it

LOST IT

Not sure when or how but I lost all of my motivation to get healthy. I now just have an I dont give a attitude. I know I need to snap out of it but I'm not even sure what it is.

I've been in more pain then usual so I've exercised like non existent. Tomorrow though I will b riding my bike to my mri, so I will get some exercise then.

My eating sucks but that's because hubby is handling the cooking lately & he forgets that I need to weigh n measure my food. The blessing is that we will finally b able to go food shopping in about a wk so it will b healthy foods in the house again.

A blessing that came this wk my daughter is engaged n the double blessing is that they are getting married in City Hall, so we only have to pay for a reception n decided to throw them a luau in our yard June 2011. Now to plan an engagement party.

Well I guess thats all I have to write for now but as Nov 1 is on a monday I will b starting a whole new plan at that time. I m really looking forward to this wknd Halloween is my favorite holiday n my wedding anniversary

    Happy Anniversary! Congratulations on your daughters coming wedding. The Luau theme will be fun to work with. I was once on a social committee for a pool, we did several luaus and it was fun thinking of ideas for decorations and food. I can tell you how to make a snack bar look like a tiki hut for next to nothing. I hope that your MRI went well yesterday. When your in this for the long haul, as we all are, I think it's normal for your motivation level to change from time to time...having a new plan that starts November 1st sounds like a great way to enter what will be 2 years of Sparking!

    Happy anniversary Maga. Sign up for the winter mahogany melters and I think Jenny said it starts in December so you can practice exercising in November.

I had a leg injury in April and was out of commission for a while but I slowly build up my strength by watching a tv show called Sit and Be Fit on the PBS channel. Go to this site to see if it is in your state. http://www.sitandbefit.org/we_air.<

On The Mend

Feeling alot better today, as long as I wear my knee & back brace. I dont have to stay on bed rest the swelling went down n its not as bad as they thought it was. It seems to just be a strain I even did the bowflex treadclimber for 15 mins & I havent done it in mths. I refuse to remain down I will get healthy.

I have alot of things to work on I need to healthy physically, spiritually, & mentally. It's not gonna b easy but I'm not a quitter, I m a fighter. I will fight 4 wat I need & 4 wat I want. Right now I want to find a healthy balance in my life & I will.

My social life is very busy with mine & others ppl stuff but its getting easier. La has soccer on Sat & Girl Scouts on Thurs. Hubby has mtg on Thur & Fri. I volunteer @ a Christian high School on Tues & starting in Nov I will b volunteering w/ an afterschool program on Tues & Wed. Fri night I help coordinate Friday Nights for Everyone @ my church along with youth group. Sundays is church & Sunday School. Monday is the only day that nada is scheduled for well unless my marriage counseling is scheduled fro then.

My daughter is looking 4 an apt but not having much luck but I'm praying. Hubby's 1st day of work was rescheduled till tomorrow & its only part time but hey its something, n we still doing as on line for him.

I love dinner time especially on the nights that hubbys home. We cook together n sit as a family to eat. Everyone is even eating salad, veggies & healthy food w/ me
