DAY 19 & LENT 3

Friday, February 19, 2010

Didn't meet my calories but I did 100 fitness minutes.

I lost 4 lbs this past wk so I'm feeling pretty good.

I feel like I m really starting to make some forward strides in this journey. Even if I didnt think so I did have a food addiction & like any addiction denial came 1st. Once an addict always an addict and unlike drugs I have to deal with food every day of my life.

Got to spend some time with my hubby today unfortunately I may not b able to c him now 4 the next 30 days. I will be doing alot of writing & counting down 90 days to go.

My positive thing for today - I set up a space for me to work out that will b just for me. I DESERVE TO HAVE THIS SPACE.

DAY 18 & LENT 2

Thursday, February 18, 2010

I met my low end of calories & I did 91 minutes of cardio.

I am presently in alot of pain. Muscles spasms in my legs since last night & my legs are swollen. Probably due to the corn chips I don't usually eat much salt & they were salty.

Tomorrow is my weekly weigh in so I'm a little concerned but I took my water pills so prayerfully there wont b a weight gain.

I truly can't wait for the snow to melt I WANT TO RIDE MY BIKE

My positive thing to myself today was: I M WORTHY & I DESERVE TO B HAPPY

You do deserve to be happy!!! My whole body has been feeling semi swollen this week so I am really worried about my weigh in on Monday.

Hopefully the pain and spasms past soon because you are doing so good.

DAY 17 & LENT 1

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

It's day 17 of my personal challenge & day 1 of Lent challenge.

Just a little short my calories for the day & I did my 90 minutes of fitness. YEAH ME

I decided to pamper myself & I went & got my nails done. I just feel so feminine when they are done. I also started experimenting with some new hair dos. Alot of ppl r wondering what I'm up to & I was even told today that I look younger

I went to Ash Wednesday Service this evening and its got me doing some reflecting & I m realizing this change in me isnt just on the outside it's on the inside. I m a different person now then I was a yr & half ago when I started this journey/

You are doing great! I have never actually got my nails done. In high school I would put on fake nails but I am just way too something because they tended to come off quickly.

Glad you were able to pamper yourself! I sometimes forget to reward myself for all of my efforts, but it is so important! Have a great day!

I personally like you with bangs. You look good that way. And the reason you seem to look younger? Look at the picture of yourself in this blog. There is a new confidence there - like you know a great secret that no one else knpws.

DAY 16

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Met my fitness minutes & I almost met my calories and that was with eating corn chips (my weakness).
Didn't do my volunteer work today due to more snow & church council was rescheduled till next Tuesday.
I will spend tomorrow running around getting the paperwork together to apply for the assistance to get our heater fixed & the house weatherized. Then tomroow night is our Ash Wednesday service I volunteered to help with.

I've decided that for Lent I will give up my negative self-talk. I will say 1 nice thing to myself everyday of Lent.

Great thing to give up!! What a fantastic idea!!! Lent's already started, and I still haven't figured out what I'm giving up.

With everything I have read being thrown at you lately Marcia, you are an inspiration for not just giving up.

I love the idea of saying 1 nice thing to yourself everyday of Lent. I am not really a religious person, but I think I will borrow the idea for my every day routine and not just during Lent.

Keep warm and keep inspiring us all to not quit.

DAY 15

Monday, February 15, 2010

Did my 90 minutes of cardio but still not meeting my calories. I just don't want to eat -everything just turns my stomach. Maybe it's all the stress of having to deal with everything on my own with no help.

I m so frustrated & short tempered lately. So I started rearranging our so called family-room to just have something to do and not think.

Tomorrow I start volunteering again, maybe that will help me. I have 2 classes Faith Development & Violence Prevention @ the high school then the reading afterschool program @ the elementary school.
And thanks b to God after being home from school for a wk and a half La is finally going back in the morning.

Ash Wednesday is this week and even though as a Lutheran we are not really encouraged to give something up for Lent I always do. I have 2 days to figure out what it will b and I will be refocusing on my Bible readings. I just realized this is gonna b a busy wk. Tomorrow night is church council, then the service on Wed & Friday nights for everyone starts back @ the church this wk. Afterschool is Tues & Thurs; so I guess it was a good thing that I did go food shopping today.

Busy is better! ?So glad you're getting out and about again and not trapped by blizzards! You'll probably find that by being busy, you'll want to eat your cals, as you'll need the energy.
Cheers to a busy week!
