WHAT NOW

Thursday, December 10, 2009

I'm sitting here still in alot of pain. But all I can think about is that I've already missed a day from the gym & from the bike, how can I do this. How can I not do my routine.
There is a blessing that a fellow team member is going to give me some ideas with chair exercises BUT I do so much better when leave the house to exercise. I ride my bike to curves & the 30 mins I spend there go by so quick with the joking going on there. I plan on trying to go back to curves next wk n just don't do any exercising that would bother my foot; my kids n cousins r making me feel guilty about not taking care of myself. IT'S JUST SO FRUSTRATING but I did walk La to school this morning n then walk home ( 1/2 mile) & now I'm propped up.

I was just getting back on track - I'm so scared that I'm gonna lose my motivation.

I just know that everytime I let life deter me its take so long to get back on track.

I WANT TO STAY FOCUSED & MOTIVATED

It seems at the times we're most motivated, that life likes to throw hurdles in the way. Don't give in. Pay attention to your doctor's instructions, as you don't want to make anything worse.
I'm thinking of you and I know that you CAN and WILL get through this.
Stay strong and take care.

I am sorry Maga, It sucks too wanna do something and your body doesn't respond the way you would like.

Maga don't beat yourself up, It's not your Fault!! You did nothing wrong. Life isn't always fair. You need to follow your doctors advice and think long term not just short term. I find this comforting sometimes and it is the truth, your weight problem is not going to go away, you will have it for the rest of your life. Even if you lose all the weight you would like to lose then you will half to work on keeping it off. I think that takes the pressure off, there's no time table, it's on going. Today I can't work out, Ok it is what is, " I have the rest of my Life to Work on my Weight Problem, so today I am going to take it easy."

I hope this helps some, Try and find a Reason to Enjoy your day, no matter how small it is.

Your Sparkfriend
Carol

Hello MAGA68, I want to encourage you to not give up and to know that all you need has already been provided for you by God in Jesus. You need to use the faith that has been given to you, and while you are propped up get your Bible and confess healing scriptures. Go to http://www.kcm.org/real-help/health
-and-healing scroll down and you will see the link for them.

Also, read the encouraging articles there to help build your faith for your healing. For the pain that you are feeling, start confessing, "Jesus bore the pain for me, so I don't have to bear the pain". I can testify that it will work, if you work it! Proverbs 18:21 states that, "death and life are in the power of the tongue". What's in your mouth today? Defeat or Victory? No feeling sorry for yourself! You can do this.

Also, start giving thanks for all the good that is in your life each day. I might have pain in one foot, thank God for no pain in the other. Thank Him the other parts of your body that are working good. Thank Him for your family, even though they might not understand, and are not being more sensitive and supportive at the moment. Givings thanks will change that, trust me.

Give thanks for the simple things in life: the sun shining, for the rain, if it's raining (everything has a purpose). Try to walk around the house for 5 minutes without the crutches. With each step confess, "By the stripes of Jesus I am healed. Jesus bore the pain for me so I don't have to bear the pain." Then start thanking God for being able to go to the gym (before you get there). Call those things that be not as though they were (Roman 4:17).

I did this when I was diagnosed with a tore cartlidge in my knee 7 years ago. I did not have the suggested surgery. I was without pain in about 3 weeks after I started that confession. I still take the healing scriptures as my medicine for life every day (I have them on CD/media player).

Don't give up God has already made the way for you, you just have to walk the path to your victory. Jeremiah 29:11. I will keep you in prayer.

Bless and Victory,
Tina

Getting off track is a real challenge and you should be concerned about it, but we must build in some flexibility. Now is your chance to learn some chair exercises, try some different things that could accompany your regular routines. Fear gets us down quicker than anything, so do the best you can and accept that not all days will be the same. You still have your motivation or you wouldn't be scared. Rise to this challenge and prove to yourself that you are committed to doing the best for yourself each and every day, no matter what curves life throws at you. I am rooting for you. Hugs from Janet in central Illinois.

I know exactly how you feel. My leg has really messed with my exercise but at least I can get in the pool. I've been sick for almost 2 weeks and the pool is not an option but I WILL NOT BE STOPPED! I suspect you won't be either. I'll mail you those exercises in a little while. I need to catch up on my sparking... yesterday I was a goof off... and I'll make sure you have some good options. Love ya, Dawn emoticon

AIR-CAST

Wednesday, December 09, 2009

Well yesterday my syatica acting up & my legs gave out. I fell off the stair landing & landed on my right ankle. This ankle I serious sprained about 10 yrs ago & its never healed properly.

So after i fell I used my cane for the rest of the day. The rest of the day included me doing the afterschool program which involves walking up to the 3rd flr of the school. Then walking to get La from school then home which is a mile & half. I did ice it.
Couldn't sleep due to the pain. Went to get up out of the bed this morning & couldn't put no pressure on it at all. Soooo I decided to go to the hospital.

To cut to the chase it is not broken but there is such long term damage they wanted to cast it. I choose the air so I can still shower n soak. The ligaments are stretched really bad & there r bone spurs after the air-cast comes off I need to wear braces on both ankles for added support due to all of the exercise I do.

I m on crutches for the next week then I can use the cane if the ankle can handle it. Once my insurance is active next mth I need therapy & to c an orthopedic.

My daughter made me promise not to go to curves or do the wii @ least until Monday. She knows that I don't follow dr directions to well . That is partially y this I so bad My cousin in law keeps calling to check on me to make sure I'm staying off it. THEY ARE DRIVING ME NUTS!!
It should be interesting taking La to school; my daughter wants me to take the bus
instead of walking

Keep me in your prayers & I will keep every1 updated

I'm so sorry about your setback. But listen to the doctor and your family and give it time to heal or you'll end up not being able to use it even longer. DO as Dawn suggested and use some of her chair exercises. There are ways to be creative and yet take care of yourself. And it's a setback but only a temporary one. Most importantly, don't give up!
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. emoticon

You are absolutely in my prayers honey. When you're feeling a little bit better... just give me a shout and I'll share my chair exercises with you. I exercise sitting on the side of my bed or in my exercise chair OR a sturdy kitchen chair. Get lots of calorie burn and never have to put any pressure on my damaged leg which will not support weight bearing exercises. They are fun and you can sit and watch tv and burn baby burn! Love ya, Dawn emoticon
