flat tire

Unbelievable I can t drive but I can change a car tire; I ride a mountain bike ALL the time but I cant change the back tire.
Got ready to go to curves this morning & had a flat tire. It did not deter me I walked 15 mins then took a bus after my workout I walked to the Supremo's picked up some meat the walked about 45 mins was sitting taking a break when I was offered a ride home from a neighbor.
I got my workout in thats what counts; then I had my cousin fix my bike & went for a short ride to test it.

Hubby + Weight

Ironically my hubby has put on some weight & is having a fit about it. I personally prefer him with the added weight as long as he don't add too much more. My hubby has always been skinny in the 25 yrs that we've known each other this is the heaviest maintained weight he has ever had.
I would probably have issue if he gained say like 30more lbs but its because I m struggling so hard to live a healthier life style.
But it is easy for him to lose the weight & get back in shape he work out for a wk or 2 & belly gone & yes it is very irritating.
He has more issue with his new found weight then I do. so sometimes I tease him but its only because he is more materialistic then I m, People who haven't seen him in a cpl yrs always comment on his weight gain. He used to be about 140 lbs & now goes between 170- 174 lbs. And the one thing that ppl do always say is how much better he looks with the weight.

May Goals
take 80,000 steps a week - do the bootcamp everyday - do 68 step ups(&down) everyday. I want to get to 240 lbs by the end of the month.

I was taking my measurements & had to realize that I added to my measurements. I JUST WANT TO CRY.
Bust: 56.5
Waist: 49
Abdomen: 55
Hips: 49
(L) Arm: 17.5
(L) Thigh: 31
WEIGHT today is 249.5 (but that is up & down everyday all day)

Well needless to say I m not happy cause it seems that I've went up in all my measurements I will not redo them until the 27th which is when curves will redo them for me. This is unacceptable; really it is.
But I m not going to let it get me down it just proves that I have to really push myself even more now.


Spa Night

My cousins & I did a spa night.
A member of our church does therapeutic messages & once a mth has a spa night. IT WAS HEAVEN. I 1st had a therapeutic back massage; so relaxing. Then I had a foot facial yes I said a foot facial & with body butter; liberating. Then although I don't really get into them I had a tarot card reading WOW it was right on with everything - KIND OF SCARY.
I m soooo looking forward to next month and another spa night.
Then went out to a relaxing dinner just us 3 girls @ Cracker Barrel ( I still managed to stay within my calories)
The scary thing is that on Monday we are to go look @ Matron Of Honor dresses for me. Scary cause I hate to do any type of clothes shopping being so big. I told them it will need to be altered by August cause I will b thinner by then. YEAH I'M CONFIDENT; cause I know I got my spark friends to help me make it through this.

    Oh Marsha, I am so envious of you!
A Spa night..and it sounded like Heaven!
Have fun shopping for that dress, and yes you are right, they will be taking it in, and quite a bit too!
I have confidence in you too girl, because I am going to be the biggest thorn in your are going to be hearing from me every day, pushing, pushing, pushing you till you scream in my face to leave you alone, then I am going to push you even harder!

How is that step challenge going with you?
I am doing pretty good with it so is still tough but hey you are talking about someone who is overweight and carrying extra baggage up 68 stairs!
Okay now get out there get those done, you are not allowed to say, "Oh I don't have time today!" that my friend is not an option on this journey with me!

Nutrition Tracker

The biggest way that the nutrition tracker has helped me is by helping me to look @ what I m eating. I never thought about things like calories or fat or even sugar. The only thing that I thought about was reducing carbs.
I believe that I do eat healthier now. I think about did I eat a fruit/veggie today. The accountability to my own self, is good for me.
Even when I go out it is in the back of my mind. You know that if u eat that u have to log it.

    Don't cut out carbs, just get the right kind. There is nothing wrong with carbs-your body needs them for energy throughout the day!!
