Its amazing; I've been cooking all of my life. I always thought I could cook. People have always complemented me & I was always asked to cook food fro events.

For the past year I have been watching cooking shows. So I start using some of the spices I seen and started paying attention to how the food looks as I serve it.
And now I REALLY am a good cook.

I been looking @ the food I was raised with. I really wasn't raised knowing about food. I no longer use unnecessary seasonings that don't enhance the flavor of the food. Growing up I was basically taught to cover the taste of the food, but NO more.

Our LaLa @ 7 is already a foody and she has learned terminology from TV. She wants to b a chef or baker when she grows up. Yes it may change but for now we will do what we can to help her to continue to enjoy food. She is so cute in the kitchen. This weekend we are gonna learn together how to make fondant. Should b interesting.

I don't do any classes on Wednesdays so me and another of the wsls contestants made up a routine for us to follow. So here is todays workout:

10 mins stairmaster
rotary torso 4 set on each side @ 60 lbs
pec fly 4 sets @ 40 lbs
biceps curl 5 sets @ 30 lbs
tricep press 5 sets @ 30 lbs
10 mins eliptical
pectorial fly 1 sets (l/r/b) @ 20 lbs
chess press 2 sets @ 30 lbs
shoulder press 2 sets @ 10 lbs
leg extension 2 sets @ 30 lbs
seated lef curl 2 sets @60 lbs
adductor machine 2 sets @ 60 lbs
adductor machine 2 sets @ 60 lbs
10 mins treadmill
pectorial fly 1 sets (l/r/b) @ 20 lbs
chess press 2 sets @ 30 lbs
shoulder press 2 sets @ 10 lbs
leg extension 2 sets @ 30 lbs
seated lef curl 2 sets @60 lbs
adductor machine 2 sets @ 60 lbs
adductor machine 2 sets @ 60 lbs

    Great plan..but..and there's always a but..LOL! Be careful using the 60 lbs sometimes the heavier weights on that can do more harm than good. Just my observation. Keep up the great work! Love you! HUGS!

42/365 Our Wards

Our wards (LMAO) this would b grumpy (my father) and La (granddaughter).

Today was one of those days with both of them. It doesn't helpt hat its TTOM; so emotions are over. So after La went to school went back to sleep.

La for the most part has settled into out new lives relocated 525 miles from everything we know. The main exception to this is school. She feels that she doesnt fit in. She even started cutting her hair so we had to try to even it out; since her hair got cut she has had more problems in school. She been called fuzzy and furry. Today somebody took her pencils and she snapped on the boy. When the boy wouldn't give her back the pencil - she choked him & he stabbed. What a great way to start my day.

Grumpy well he just @*%&#@##%^%* He is worse then a little kid lately. I am @ the point that I am seriously weighing the option of putting him in a home. Which is ridiculous. Because when he isnt being lazy he can do so much more then he use to. He just get so lazy especially about his personal hygiene (including using the bathroom). Its jsut so frustrating and it is @ the point its effecting so much in the house.

I m not mentally stable to begin with. Then with losing weight and yet again trying to change my eating habits. Its all just getting to me. Our wards are totally frustrating not just me but hubby. But its life and it goes on.

    My dad is living in our basement, he still drives, can cook and do some shopping but hasn't had a shower since Aug before he moved here. He moaned and complained about what he needed when he moved here, so we renovated our basment, and added a shower 48inch one not a small square one and he has a new shower chair and he didnt like the shower hose so got a diff one... and he has yet to use it. Oh I am too tired, I have to go out for my coffee first, okay I will come down and be here after so you will feel safe, ( I worked in nursing homes ) oh I am too tired. OMG DAD.
I can't imagine having my grandson who is 3 here too. since this is my first visit I don't know the situation but HUGS!!!!!

    I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you having both ends of the age group to contend with. Is it possible to get a home health aid for Grumpy once in a while to help him with his hygiene and general care? Hang in there!

    I'm so sorry you're having so many problems with your "wards". I know it's not easy taking care of others and trying to take care of yourself too. The elderly and the young can really try a persons patience at times. You are in my prayers! HUGS!

41/365 Cleanse

I am thinking of trying a cleanse - I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

The one I was thinking of trying is a 3 day fruit cleanse. Basically for 3 days just eat different types of fruit either raw, cooked, juiced or as a smoothie. This is suppose to be for 3 to 5 days. It is suppose to help to clean out the intestines of toxins.

I am already trying to eat more fruits and veggies. It is really hard for me not to eat meat as much as I love all types of meat. The hardest thing for me is to stay away from burgers I loooove burgers. Turkey burgers I actually do enjoy.

Well got company so I will b back tomorrow.

    I would talk to a doctor first! But, if I were going to do a cleanse, I would do a fruit one! Good luck!

    Maybe talk to a doctor first. I know it's only for a short time, but a person's body needs other nutrients too, so just be careful if you decide to do this. :) HUGS!

40/365 - - - Goals For The Week

My goals for this week are :

1. to set up an appt w my new primary care dr
2. go to the post office to send a crochet project to Jersey for my grand Sky
3. to stay within 1200 to 1500 calories every day this week
4. to workout @ the gym @ least 60 mins a day
