39/365 Still Up

The one good thing about still being up is that I almost 4got to write this blog; so I have about 29 minutes. Feeling rushed I have to get this done. emoticon

Today is my day off from exercise; except for walking. Tomorrow I will ride my bike to the gym to go to my wsls zumba class. I m starting to get use to our new zumba instructor. i . To just have so much trouble getting the routine down. But another one of the contestants told me to look in the mirror behind us to follow the instructor n it might help me some. Like playing follow the leader; the instructor faces us n we r suppose to mirror her moves. I will try the suggestion 2morrow anything that can help me. i know that I will totally enjoy the class once I learn the moves.

Presently cooking in the crock pot is a corn beef brisket stew with a spicy mustard; brown sugar, tomato sauce. Its smells sooo good but I will b trying not to eat it as I just realized how much sodium is in the brisket. So I guess I will b having some italian style turkey sausage.

    I tried zumba from a video on utube and laughed at myself all the way through it. Hehe! It is a little hard getting the right moves in, but it sure is fun trying. Hehe! Hugs!

This is just a blog to write a blog. As I have challenged myself to blog for an entire year.

Really dont feel like doing anything except eat the last 2 days. Everything is just irritating me. The only time I feel good is when I am at the gym working out. WOW have I changed.

Well I guess this will count as my blog; prayerfully I b in a better mood tomorrow

    I went through that for a good while myself, feeling like the best part of my day was when I was at the Y. I think for me though it was more of being out there with my friends and having some fun while getting healthy. :) Hugs!

37/365 Asthma - yet again

It seems that every other day my asthma is inflamed; I wake up with the breathing issues.

I actually slept pretty well last night.

But then I woke up still feeling exhausted so I slept most of the day.

Feeling stressed out not even sure y but I will do my best to control my eating.

Missed the gym today but tomorrow I have a walk & tone class the is all about toning n kicks ass.

36/365 Its Not an Excuse

Well I have been trying to up my exercise. I am being careful; I have such a fear of re-injuring myself. but I am doing more everyday that I work out. Sometimes I feel that pp dont understand how hard this is for me. I have been struggling with dealing with these pain issues

I have been dealing with some discomfort in my neck and lower back. The neck causes both of my arm from shoulder to finger tips to go numb. the lower back where I had the spinal fusion L1 - S5 and the area being lanced due to mersa; causes my legs to numb from the hip into the toes or visa versa. The thing is I have been dealing with these issues for year so they are not due to the exercising. Its just the exercising does on occasion cause it to be irritated for longer periods of time; especially when I cant get the pillows to hold my neck just right.

I had a pillow that helped a little but it dies in my washer and I cant afford to by a new one; but I kept the insides to crochet a cover and to make a pillow for my neck.

When I am exercising I get concerned when the numbness passes form the toes to pass my ankles. The hands go numb while on the computer while riding the bike while crocheting and even when washing dishes.

Yesterday I got the insurance card that we were told we wouldn't get until after March 13th; so tomorrow I will b calling my new primary care to set up an appointment to start my road to even better recovery. I have to go thru them to get referrals.
I also have to c if I am covered for dental and eye doctor. Prayerfully I can get my dentures for the teeth that were pulled back in August. I have only had my eyeglasses for almost a year; yet I ma having problems with my vision.

Well as I said in the title ITS NOT AN EXCUSE - I will not use my disabilities as an excuse not to get healthier.

I also want to thank all of u wonderful sparkers. I appreciate each and every comment; encouragement or advice that yall leave, I would not be making it thru this journey without yall

    I have the problem with numbness, too. Like you, I've had it so long that I believe it is normal for me. I admire how hard you are working, but do try to not overdo. Add additional exercises gradually. So glad you are going to be able to get medical care!

    With all you do and try to do, no excuses, shouldn't even enter into it. :) You have come so far already and are doing an wonderful job on your fitness that anyone who would even think you're trying to come up with excuses should be whopped upside the head! LOL! Just keep doing what you can when you can and be ever so mindful of what your body tells you! Keep up the good work! HUGS!

35/365 Twice Today

I went to the gym twice today and I feel awesome. emoticon

my first trip was: emoticon
30 minutes on the eliptical
then 30 minute son machines trading off with another wsls contestant
12 mins on the treadmill

2nd trip was: emoticon
60 minutes of body combat

then I came home and did my 30 minutes of lower body strength training emoticon

I am feeling amazing. I actually had 5 1/2 hrs of sleep last night. My breathing has eased up. I sweated I mean I really sweated; as much as I hate sweat it felt GREAT

I have talked to a few of the wsls contestants to c about getting together to do a workout or 2. I know we are competing against each other BUT I want everyone to succeed and I feel that if u workout w someone u get a better workout.

Well laptop is going dead so thats all for the night emoticon
