So, I've been a lifelong yo-yo dieter. And my late twenties and early thirties have NOT been great for my waistline. Pair a six year career as a road warrior and a husband that loves cheeseburgers, mexican food and pizza as much as me... and well, it's not hard to imagine how it all happened.
At least I've realized that my candy addiction (Sour Patch Kids lately) is out of control and my hatred of vegetables is unnatural. So, after seeing a shocking number on the scale (approximately 40 pounds more than when I met my husband,) I am looking to drop at least 25 pounds by Christmas... (and I wouldn't be mad at more like 35 pounds by then) which is 4 months away after all...
So I am going to try to blog a couple of times a week, to stay motivated and stay focused. I am learning that it's OK to be hungry and really trying to drink substantially less wine, which is another BIG problem of mine.
I am doing 10 days on Phase 1 of the South beach Diet just to rid myself of sugar cravings and then I look forward to a balanced diet of 1250ish calories each day. Watch out, I may need your support if my husband is not able to provide me the kind of support I'll need.
