My Ipod got stolen!

Someone broke into my car and stole my $250 Ipod

After paying tuition and books for me and my daughter, I can't afford a new one.

The $$ my husband gave me for Mother's Day, I used to get one of my daughter's books because she needed it right away and I couldn't get it from amazon.com in time. (Theirs was $36 cheaper!)
But...we gotta do what we gotta do!

School Days

I am loving being a student again. I wish I could quit working and go to school full-time.

I have to remind myself that the sacrifice is producing excellent results for me. When I was a high school grad and went to college, I wasted my opportunity. Now, I have to work, go to school, take care of my family, serve at church, and send our daughter to college as well.

I'm sorry Dad and Mom...

what's to come is better than what's been!

Tomorrow, Monday May12, I am returning to work after 3 days off and returning to school after two years. (previous break of 23 years).


Three days off from work leaves too much to think about. My relief is off for the next two weeks so my office stands to be a mess for that long at least. The back to school is daunting as well. Please whisper a prayer for me that I feel the presence and power of GOD as I go through my day tomorrow. Lots of issues and I'm a little anxious...

I'm sure all that worry and anticipation was just part of trying 'something new'... =) Hope your day is goin' well, i'm had whisphered a prayer for you to be fine. Last Oct. I had recently gone back to school also from being away since 27 and then on and off ever since 23... =) It is a great thing your doing. Im sure it'll be another exciting adventure! I knew I could depend on you all. I survived the workday with lots of praise and laughter. I am learning to combat stress with praise and frustration with laughter. GOD certainly saw me through. My office was a mess and very hectic but I kept the faith and endured. Thanks for the prayers. I read them weeping because I really do need GOD to accompany me. A New Beginning!!

This week is a new beginning for all of us. The BIBLE declares that the mercies of GOD are new every morning, great is THY faithfulness!
I can begin again and I am doing so. I will consider what I eat and plan ahead. I will not fall in love with my current look but will continue to strive to reach my goal. That is a healthy weight for my height and it represents success for me. I will no longer fall into the overweight range and will finally be healthy which is my goal.

Thank you GOD, BBQ, Done Girls, Survivors, the Diamond Divas and all those who stop by to check on me and to encourage me. Love and blessings to all of you. Let's get losin'!

Final weight goal of 143--As of 2/24/2008, I am 15 lbs away from my goal!

If I cheat, I'm only cheating myself because GOD has proven to me that it can be done and I can do it!

Well, I have gained another 17 lbs!




I am certain that my failure has been believing my own hype. That has ended and I am now committed to victory for me. My goal must be clear to me and doesn't need any one's approval. I am required to do what GOD has blessed me to do, not just for me, but for HIS glory.
I am walking the walk.

I am feeling you on this!! I did the same thing!! I gained back all of my weight though. I was walking along and doing awesome and then the enemy came along and tripped me up. I was all caught up in his trap having a pity party for myself and thinking I would never get out of his grip.. then it came to me, I was free to walk out whenever I choose!! The only reason I was there was because I believed his lies!! We are free in Christ and we can do this through Him!! No depression, no pity parties, just walking in Christ and keeping our eyes on the goal and keeping our ears shut to the enemy!! You can do this thing!!!!!! You said it best. God said it, so you need to believe it. Girl you can't give up. You are way too close. You know that the closer we get to things it seems that the enemy lures us further away from them. Now you just have to recognize the trick of the enemy and not follow him. You will SURPASS your goal. I know you will. Keep the faith in God. I am not here to tell you to eat better or exercise more.
