Almost Two months into my reset/comeback

Thursday, June 05, 2014

Well it's been almost two months and here is what's happening:

I have lost 23 lbs! From 181-158
My BMI has lowered 3.7 points from 29.2 to 25.5,, almost into normal/healthy range!
I am able to jog 3 miles nonstop versus not even finishing a mile without a walk break!
Planks-- began with 30 sec now over two minutes!
I have not eaten any animal protein since April 11, 2014! #fueledbyplants

I am enjoying the journey!

vEGETARIAN AND MISSING SEAFOOD!

Monday, June 02, 2014

I'm loving this new eating lifestyle and its resulting weight loss. However, I am missing seafood and the occasional turkey seasoning for my veggies. Otherwise, its going just fine!

I month Run comeback progress!!

Friday, May 23, 2014

Glory to GOD! I'm so proud of my determined self! One month comeback and I am learning negative splits, pace increasing, and breathing all over again. I was lamenting over how much gains were lost while I wasn't running but this is so rewarding!

1 month progress! I shaved 1:49 from my 5K time! GOD is great!!!!

As you lose, you're loss rate will diminish, but the payoffs will increase!

Payoffs?

He
alth as measured by BP, blood chemistry, etc. AND how you feel, and what you are capable of.

My Dr has complimented me!!!

Friday, May 09, 2014

Her comment to me today:
"You are the role model of this practice! If all my patients do as you have done, I will only have to see them once a year and my waiting room will be empty. They can go out and make a difference in this country and help other people to live good lives!" (She is Hindu and beautifully thin).
(After exam)
"Even for me! When you come it motivates me for about a month and then I slack off. You have to start coming once a month!" Lol!!

It is SO nice to hear kinds words from your doctor. I know how hard it is to stay on track. For me, every year I struggle with my fitness in April and May, not because I need a break but for the simple reason of my poor planning around my volunteer work at the kids' school. It did not cross my mind to wake up earlier and exercise before I took the kids to school until about two weeks ago.

Well good to hear you had a good doctor's visit.

See you around!

    EXCELLENT!

As always: YOU ARE YOUR OWN BEST REWARD.

And trust me on this: The longer you persevere, the greater the reward will be.

Congratulations!

P.S. You might want to tell your doc about the following experience that I had.

When I first started to get seriously concerned about my weight and health, I was in the waiting room, of my then, physician. She was in a group with several other physicians. I noticed a posting on the wall of all of HER patients that (a) had lost significant weight, and (b) had agreed to have their info posted. There were pictures and brief stories with stats. I was most impressed.

This was a milestone in my decision to change.
