Woohoo! Week 1 has come and gone, and I feel great! I admit that there have been a few days that were a struggle to commit to working out, but I found that the daily challenges really were a great kick in the butt. I logged fitness minutes for 6 of 7 days during the week, and I am certain that this is a record for me!! I plan to keep the momentum going, and I realize that it is going to take a lot of dedication and time.
The biggest challenge for me is returning to the habit of tracking my food on a daily basis. When I first joined SparkPeople that was the one habit that I excelled at. Now, I have let that good habit slip, and I realize that my eating habits are not as good as they could, or should, be. Tracking my food intake is also an important strategy for controlling my PCOS. I was recently diagnosed with insulin resistance, and this has been a huge wake up call to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to monitor my food, especially sugars.
This challenge is a great way to push back into healthier habits and to keep active throughout the summer!
