In the year 2012, I gave up sugar for a year and lost 30 lbs emoticon

Then I caved into sugar at the holidays emoticon

Now I hope to get back into healthy eating, exercise and making new habits emoticon

Sooo, looking forward to meeting new spark friends emoticon

And using all the wonderful tools sparkpeople offer emoticon

Thanks Janene, you are such an inspiration to me emoticon

Time goes by, and look here you are supporting me again emoticon

You are such a wonderful sparkfriend emoticon

Thanks sunset, looking forward to your encouraging words emoticon

Hi Ice, Hurray for your help emoticon

It took me an hour to refigure how to track my food, but it was fun. And I realize I am out-of-touch with the amount of food I eat!!

So, I will be cutting back, little by little, and adding more vegies and fruit

and of course reading all the articles on sparkpeople. boy do those articles give me the added boost I need. And I have to remind myself, "don't give up"!!

Thank-you wonderful sparkfriends!! lynne emoticon

So fun getting back to sparkpeople

Thursday, January 05, 2012

I did not think I would have any problems staying on track through the holidays.

but, I caved into sugar. Oh just a cookie here and a piece of something there. and it added up to a few pounds.

I had worked so hard to lose those pounds. well, I really didn't work hard at all.
I just gave up sugar. emoticon

Now, I am enlisting the help of all my sparkfriends and all the wonderful tools offered here.

Hi everyone!! Looking forward to losing weight with you! And learning to eat a healthy, normal meal.

Welcome back! I am interested in all of your sugar avoiding techniques, as this is my achilles heel! If I can stay away from sugar, I am a stable individual with stable steady weight loss...if I eat ANY AT ALL I can go head first back into all sugar all the time, and all the weight gain with it. Way to go you for never giving up! emoticon

Sticking to the Plan

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

emoticon
Have been sticking to the plan of smaller portions

I'm trusting the Lord everyday with help to change the way I eat

There are so many things to do during a day, so keeping busy and using the exercise bike are part of the plan

Really looking forward to spring, not too far in the future

When I'm hungry, trying to drink lots of water

emoticonGood Night spark friends

I was just trying to get Chica to stay still enough for me to get a few passes with a brush
through her coat, she is getting a few matts on her belly, and I remember getting a post from you telling Chica to run cause I was after her with the scissors.
I have checked a few times to see if you were still on line, so when I looked at your page
imagine what a nice surprise I got.

Welcome back. emoticon

You're doing it!!

Thursday morning

emoticon

I will be leaving for my house cleaning job in a few minutes. The roads are icy and slippery and I will have to be careful. But it is fun! The drive, and finally a new job. Well, I am getting too old to be a nanny and this came up and it seems perfect for me.

Today's plan: eat smaller portions, exercise , stay away from sugar, drink lots of water,

Hope everyone has a very good day!

Glad to see you back on here again! Been missing you.
Here is my bit of wisdom I am passing on as we leave 2010.

Life is too short for drama & petty things, so laugh hard,
love truly and forgive quickly.
Live While You Are Alive.
Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second time.

Happy New Year

End of the Day

Yes puppy likes a warm bed by the heater

A silly exercise I do in the morning is: lie on floor on my stomach, and lift my head off the ground, 20 times. then look to the right and lift my head 20 times, then look to the right and lift 20 times. I have a small head. It would be really hard for anyone I know, they all have big heads, lol.

Drank all my water, ate regular size portions, stayed away from sugar, enjoyed my doggies.

Looking forward to weighing less tomorrow, simply by refraining from over eating

Good Night little sparklers all around the world

That exercise is one of the best ones because it strengthens your whole back. It also gets rid of tension in your neck area. When I first started, I couldn't believe how hard it was just to hold my head up when laying on my mat. And my shoulder and neck always hurt. But this exercise relieves the pain and makes your upper neck muscles feel great. emoticon

Love that puppy likes the warm heater and a bed close by! Our kitty thinks that snuggling up at the foot of our bed is a good warm spot.

Good for you on the successes of the past few days. Sounds like you and I are following the same guidelines for now. It feels good -- the less sugar thing really helps.

I'm not sure whether I have a large or a small head but I'm curious as to where you picked up this exercise and if it helps keep the neck and shoulder areas loosened up.

Agree, our dog likes to lay in front of our wood stove. He also likes a blanket draped around his kennel. I think a lot of our dogs gets better treatment than a lot of children in the world.
