On a personal note.... there are very few photographs of me. I am usually the one trying to capture memories. Every year around the holidays I create photo calendars as presents and am so disappointed that we have very few family photos to include. This article gives me a new perspective.
Hi Everyone! It has been a while since I have blogged, mainly because I haven't had any set goals or plans lately. End of summer was very busy - birthday parties for both of my kids, back to school for my son along with organizing Orientation at work. I feel like I blinked and September is over.
I've kind of put healthy eating and fitness on the backburner and boy it shows. I'm not upset, angry or depressed about it. I just know that it is time to make healthy eating and exercise a priority again. I told myself I would not go shopping for a larger size. Last week I was putting on a pair of capris and a button went shooting off and my daughter chased it down the hall laughing. Ok its time
I restarted Insanity this week. Yesterday I completed Plyo Cardio Circuit and today was Cardio Power and Resistance. I have learned that I have to get my workouts in first thing in the morning, or else they will not get done. Evenings are just too busy in our house.
Today my daughter worked out with me. She was so funny - kept taking breaks to towel off
I have some big goals that will take me through to the end of the year. But currently I am taking Insanity day by day with the hope of finally saying I finished this program.
I know I have been MIA, but I am still here. Things are starting to slow down a bit now that back to school (for my son) and Orientation (at work) are over.
I think we have found a daily routine which means I MUST get my workouts done in the morning. There is just no time in the evening to workout.
I have created a hybrid of Insanity and P90X - my two favorite programs. This will take me into November. Hopefully I can shed some weight on this schedule and then move on to T25.
Today's workout was Shoulders & Arms. This is one of my favorite workouts and I must say that I have missed Tony a lot. I know it is going to be a challenging 3 months, but I am not looking for perfection, but rather a plan that helps push me to get better and stronger.
Last week Abby turned 4 and we had her party over the weekend. I can't believe how fast she is growing and I keep begging her to stop. I'm not allowed to call her my baby girl anymore, her name is now Abby Princess. We had a great time celebrating with her. Here are some pics.
Here she is with her barbie cake. It took a while to decorate, but I think it came out nicely and she loved it.
Here she is with her new scooter.
I'm still here, just really busy with back to school for both my son and work. I have taken some time off and I am restarting T25 this week. I am also doing the C25K training. I'm ready to make this a great month.
