Even tho' I have 3 meals a day and try to have two snacks.....I am really trying to eat most of my calories in the first half of the day. It's hard. I'm so used to having a BIG dinner. This morning I felt like I was eating 2 breakfasts. One at 8 am and the second at 10:30.....then lunch at 1:30....and when it was afternoon snack time at 3:30, I was still full. So I had another glass of water. Then dinner at 6:00....and I am very satisfied.
If this works, my whole way of life is going to change, even more than it already has.
Oh, and may I add......FOR THE BETTER!!!

US/Canada Hockey Game....

A little fun info about how people here in BC love their hockey !

First...a family member lives in Surrey in a 14th floor apartment. He loves his balcony garden and was putting in some seeds when the game was on. He had it turned up so he could hear it. He said that when Canada scored their first goal, not only did he hear the cheering from the TV, but he said he must have heard a 100 or more cars honking their horns!!!

My DH had gone down the street to some friends house to watch with a group of friends . I stayed home, wasn't into a noisy aft. So I watched it for a bit , did some puttering and sat and watched the end of the 3 period.
Well, when the USA scored and tied it, the energy coming from watching that game was so intense, I decided I would go outside and prune my Clematis vines...which I did. I knew that DH would update me on the winning team. Both were playing so well, both deserved a gold in my opinion.
I regress...
As I was pruning away in a completely silent neighbourhood....all of a sudden a woman starts screaming from down the street...."they did it, they did it"...and a guy is hooping and hollering at the top of his lungs. Then in the opposite direction I can hear people in a house a few doors down yelling and shouting. Then house after house in the area....sounds of joy reaching my ears!
A car started honking just down the back street, someone started blowing a bugle....and sounds of happy people just filled the air and this quiet town of 20,000 started to move and the atmosphere was filled with the sounds of a happy population.

The last comment I heard from a neighbour about an hour later as they were leaving...."Well...they have bragging rights for at least another 4!"
And then laughter....the car pulled away .....

and my town...(that is a fanatical hockey town by the way) went back to it's routine....with big smiles on their faces.

It has been a good day.

(1) My great grand daughters.
(2) My grandchildren.
(3) My children.
(4) My husband....who supports me so much!
(5) My self esteem.

I love my life, I love my family, God has been good to me and added to all the above I have fabulous friends who also support and encourage me.
And this whole process works. I AM healthier and happier. Now if I could only figure out how to turn the clock back.....oh well, that's my next miracle.

Where do I start?
I am refocusing....spring is coming!
I started SP 10 months ago and this has been and still is the best journey I have every been on.
SP works for me!
A new team, a re-invigorated old babe is smiling....and feeling good about herself.
This year with supportive family and friends, and Sparkers extraordinaire....I WILL SUCCEED!!!
