Here it is and we are in! Most boxes unpacked and now we need to put up curtains/drapes and wall decor. We are glad we made the move!

It's been awhile since I've done this. Life got in the way.
We lost Summer to DH's health issues. He had a major bad reaction to High Blood Pressure medication. After a day at the ER, he started going to a Cardiologist. At this point he had lost 16 lbs in 2 weeks. (Yes, for half a moment I thought hmmmm which med was that?) So they ran him thru all the major tests including Nuclear Treadmill, 24 hour monitor, cardio echo-gram, etc. All came back within normal range and they took him off of all meds. First thing that happened the PVCs (extra heartbeats) stopped. Then it was determined that it was a stomach issue caused by the meds. Today, his blood pressure is great, his stomach is still recovering but almost 100%. He has maintained the weight loss, works out almost daily and is keeping his blood pressure within a healthy range.
So he is back to his crazy self, thankfully, and we have decided we need to move. There have been 3 break-ins in our building and we were home every time. Decided what used to be a nice quiet neighborhood has changed over the last 4 years and now we are moving.
Moving, I have decided, is for the young!
Being Military, we moved a lot through out our life, but I don't remember wearing out so fast. Yes, I was younger! So I just do a few boxes every day. Clean this or that- in a few more days it will all be done and I get to undo it all at the new house!!
I am sore in places my workouts never touched, so I guess all in all it is a good thing! But we are excited to be in a house with a garage and yard once again, so it will be worth it. We enjoyed the condo, but we are ready to go back to the single story and garage...really ready!!
OK, I think that catches you up. I have not been around a lot due to the above, but maybe after we get settled in our new home I can be more active on Sparks once again. I do miss you guys.
Thank you for your continued support and love throughout this time. I haven't been as active on boards and Friend Feed but you just still continue to let me know you are there and care and it helped me an awful lot during a hard time this summer.
Thanks for listening and thanks for being such great friends!

You know how whenever you get a medication you read all about it and the side effects it may have? I never thought of a healthy lifestyle having "side effects", but I believe it does. I am actually living proof!!
In 2009 it became necessary for me to wear glasses and I wore contacts most of the time out of pride, I think. Then every couple of years the prescription would change and I would get new, stronger ones...sound familiar? Well, my sister Carol (God rest her soul) told me last year that her macular degeneration had been brought to a standstill as she was taking Lutein & Zeaxanthin (Ocuvite). That is great! Then she proceeded to tell me that she now drove without her glasses as she could see clearer without them. Really?
Needless to say, with my workout routine and eating healthier mode, I decided to add the supplement Lutein & Zeaxanthin to my routine. That was about 9 months ago. It was a smart decision. For the last several months I have had the hardest time with my glasses and contacts. Just struggling.. so off to my Eye Dr I went.
She informed me that my eyes had IMPROVED and my new prescription is very close to the original one she had written me in 2009!! What a hoot!!! She felt that the Lutein & Zeaxanthin and my healthier lifestyle efforts were the reason!
So a Healthy Lifestyle has helped my vision and I am thrilled. If you wear glasses, you might want to check it out. There is Ocuvite, but I found that did not settle well with my stomach so I just purchase Lutein & Zeaxanthin the supplement and take it daily. It works...try it. You will LOVE the side effect!!

Received this in an email from my cousin today. Thought you might like the smile-
A little house with three bedrooms,
one bathroom and one car on the street.
A mower that you had to push
to make the grass look neat.
In the kitchen on the wall
we only had one phone,
And no need for recording things,
someone was always home.
We only had a living room
where we would congregate,
unless it was at mealtime
in the kitchen where we ate.
We had no need for family rooms
or extra rooms to dine.
When meeting as a family
those two rooms would work out fine.
We only had one TV set
and channels maybe two,
But always there was one of them
with something worth the view.
For snacks we had potato chips
that tasted like a chip.
And if you wanted flavor
there was Lipton's onion dip.
Store-bought snacks were rare because
my mother liked to cook
and nothing can compare to snacks
in Betty Crocker's book.
Weekends were for family trips
or staying home to play.
We all did things together --
even go to church to pray.
When we did our weekend trips
depending on the weather,
no one stayed at home because
we liked to be together.
Sometimes we would separate
to do things on our own,
but we knew where the others were
without our own cell phone.
Then there were the movies
with your favorite movie star,
and nothing can compare
to watching movies in your car.
Then there were the picnics
at the peak of summer season,
pack a lunch and find some trees
and never need a reason.
Get a baseball game together
with all the friends you know,
have real action playing ball --
and no game video.
Remember when the doctor
used to be the family friend,
and didn't need insurance
or a lawyer to defend?
The way that he took care of you
or what he had to do,
because he took an oath and strived
to do the best for you.
Remember going to the store
and shopping casually,
and when you went to pay for it
you used your own money?
Nothing that you had to swipe
or punch in some amount,
and remember when the cashier person
had to really count?
The milkman used to go
from door to door,
And it was just a few cents more
than going to the store.
There was a time when mailed letters
came right to your door,
without a lot of junk mail ads
sent out by every store.
The mailman knew each house by name
and knew where it was sent;
there were not loads of mail addressed
to "present occupant."
There was a time when just one glance
was all that it would take,
and you would know the kind of car,
the model and the make.
They didn't look like turtles
trying to squeeze out every mile;
they were streamlined, white walls, fins
and really had some style.
One time the music that you played
whenever you would jive,
was from a vinyl, big-holed record
called a forty-five.
The record player had a post
to keep them all in line
and then the records would drop down
and play one at a time.
Oh sure, we had our problems then,
just like we do today
and always we were striving,
trying for a better way.
Oh, the simple life we lived
still seems like so much fun,
how can you explain a game,
just kick the can and run?
And why would boys put baseball cards
between bicycle spokes
and for a nickel, red machines
had little bottled Cokes?
This life seemed so much easier
and slower in some ways.
I love the new technology
but I sure do miss those days.
So time moves on and so do we
and nothing stays the same,
but I sure love to reminisce
and walk down memory lane.
With all today's technology
we grant that it's a plus!
But it's fun to look way back and say,
Hey look,guys, THAT WAS US!
