Goals to the End of 2014

My goals forward to the end of this year are simple.

Follow the Good Nutrition Basics as closely as possible.

Do a cardio workout daily.

Go to Curves regularly.

Fit in ST videos (I love Spark's, they're short and convenient.)

Continue to read every night before going to sleep.

Enjoy my volunteer work, but don't let it over ride taking care of myself.

Maintain current weight.

No more than 1500 mg sodium daily.

    Excellent goals, but I would change the wording just a bit;
I will follow the Good Nutrition Basics.
Do a cardio workout more often.

Fit in strength training videos (Spark's are short and convenient)
Enjoy my volunteer work (but don't let it over ride taking care of yourself)
As possible, when ever possible, these words don't give these goals priority, they give an escape route, and when ever there is an out, its generally taken. I always worked out at Curves first thing in the morning so no excuses could pile up by the end of the day. And you only need to do ST no more than two or three times a week anyway.
This is entirely doable. Worrying only about maintaining weight is great!

AN INVITATION to 100 DAYS OF WEIGHT LOSS BOOK CHAT;)

In a few weeks Jules (TRUHART) and I will be hosting a private team and chat of this book: 100 Days of Weight Loss: The Secret of Being Successful on Any Diet Plan: a Daily Monitor, by Linda Spangle. You and your friends are invited. If you are interested, order the book and SparkMail me. I'll send an invitation to the team. We'll read the book 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. It works out to 20 weeks and a break over the holidays.

It's a motivational book and will help us stay motivated and on track. If you are interested, let me know. It's OK if you're not, also. We'll continue to Spark in other ways.

    I wish you luck with your team and book! I can't even find the time to finish a book I started a month ago :( I really miss reading. Just too busy right now. All my free time is visiting with my Spark friends, and I am behind on even that!!

ASSIGNMENT #3 for the 5% FALL CHALLENGE

Today's assignment is to list all the reasons you want to lose weight. To look better, have better health, have better mobility.

What do you want to change? I want to change my weight, my intake, and my exercise plan.

How do you want to look? Looking good will be an added benefit. I'd much rather keep my cholesterol and blood work numbers in normal range than look good. It would be nice to wear a size 10 or less again.

How do you want to feel? Actually, I feel good now, except for the problem with my heels.

What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? My body is in pretty good shape right now. I have lost muscle tone and look forward to be able to do harder DVDs.

And list all the OTHER things that you want to change! I'd like to change how others perceive me. Fat people seem to equal lazy people in our society.
