Every day we wake up we are faced with many decisions to make. For some choices, we need to think a bit before deciding; for others we find ourselves making the decision right away without giving it much thought. Automatic responses are usually part of habitual behavior. Some behavior is learned. On our journey to better health, we are constantly learning how to decide which foods contain better nutritional value over others. We learn to choose to be active rather than watching someone else’s activity on TV. We learn to trust in God and our friends to help us through the difficult times of decision making. Some choices are easier to make than others. When we learn what is best for us and choose accordingly, we reap the benefits. Sometimes we make the wrong choice but we manage to learn from our mistakes. Through this whole process we build strength physically, mentally and spiritually. When this happens we find ourselves heading closer toward our goals for success. There's no turning back. There's no "do over". We just choose to move forward. So, plan ahead. Play often. Create in the kitchen with Spark recipes and explore the outdoors. Life’s an adventure. Make the decision to embrace it!
