I was looking at my goals to see that I am about to accomplish one this weekend. THis weekend is the MS tour bike ride. 150 miles. YEah. I am so glad. I have maintained my weight from 139 to 143 fluctuated consistently. I am still working on losing some more. Maybe this heat will allow me to seat it off. lol.

Update:Teen Losing weight

So for those who may have read my previous blogs about the teen I am helping to lose weight..well, she has lost weight. I believe 6 pounds. We are so proud of her. She says she spends her allowance on buying her own food cause her parents don't think she is committed to losing weight. My daughter has been her cheerleader and walking with her. It is so good. Unfortuantely, I can't take her to the gym with me. Her parents wont get her a membership. Today, she got an application to volunteer at the local YMCA just so she can use their facilities. She tells me of all the thing her parents say like they going to feed her crackers and water and grip about baking her food instead of frying it all the time. Her mom said she would not lose weight by going to the gym. The child has not be physical in such a long time that even if she still ate the same and got active some weight would come off. She texts me all the time and asks what to eat and how much. She is really motivated to do it. This makes me want to help other teens who are in her situation.

Today, Im having boot camp for my kids and their friends. Anyone want to join. Its a mixture of strength training and cardio using what is in the park. Riverview farm park off menchville rd. It will be around 4pm.

Pay it forward...continued

So today my daughters friend came over today and I gave her a food and exercise journal to record her food. She bought herself a book catered to teenagers on how to eat correctly. That was a plus to see her determination. Its so funny to hear her speak about the things I am talking about. Today, I showed her what a serving size of cereal was and what a plate looks like. She said that's it. The plate was the same as you would use for a toddler. So she was given direction to walk 45 to 60 minutes and day and write down all she eats. I cant wait to see her food diary. Tonight, I will try to calculater her total calories, carbs, fats, and protein.

Hilarious Gym Dilema

This morning after my workout I went the showers and took my shower. When I reached in my bag to get my towel, I realized I forgot it. Normally, that didn't bother me cause usually I came to the gym with loads of clothes on and would grab a clean shirt or pants to dry off with. However, since the weather is warm I just bring what I am wearing and a change of clothes. Thank goodness I was in the family bathroom cause they had a paper towel dispenser. Yep that is right, I used paper towels to dry my hair and to dry off just enought to get dressed and then head out to the hall where a hair dryer finished the job. Well I believed I filled what was an empty trash can full of paper towels. I walked away laughing.
