A Great Day

Friday, July 20, 2012

Yesterday I accomplished all of my goals and even surpassed them in some cases. Instead of working out 10 minutes I walked for 15 and then did 5 minutes of aerobics. I guess 5 minutes isn' t much but it still feels good to know that I did it, AND I have that to build and improve on.

Today I'm going to try some beginner step aerobics. I've had this rebok step sitting there for more than a decade now, probably closer to 2, its about time I used it.

I will succeed, I am determined, I am doing this because I love myself, I love my husband and I love my family.

Today is the Day!

Thursday, July 19, 2012

I'm excited and I'm determined to get off this plateau I've hit so soon in my lifestyle change. To me its not just about losing weight, its about changing everything about myself and so far I think I've made some great accomplishments which I'm going to list below to remind myself :).

1. Cut way way way down on junk food. I still cheat on this from time to time but at most its once per month rather than every day. My goal is to cut out junk food entirely, and I WILL get there.

2. Get off the stupid computer and do more outdoors and with my spouse. I've done really well with this. Every weekend that my hubby is not working lately we have done something on at least one of those days. As well I went and visited my sister TWICE and we took a trip up to mom and dad's for some fishing and family. Next weekend off we plan on going for a walk, doing some fishing, enjoying nature and having a picnic. Its going to be great.

3. Keep off the weight I've already lost. So far I've lost 42 lbs. I did gain a few lbs back which is what brought me here, but I'm not absolutely not going to let myself backslide any more than that. 42 lbs I think is a big accomplishment. I still have SO far to go but just that amount alone is encouraging me to keep at it.

The way I see it, so long as I don't back slide, and try to change something new regularly, and stick with those changes, then I can only improve. It might not happen over night but it WILL happen.
