I am so happy today, I have hit my first goal of being in "1Derland", it has been forever since I have been in the 1's. I weighed this morning and I had lost 5 pounds the past week, which has put me at 196.5 pounds. This is the push that I needed to keep going.
I try to walk 5-6 times a week on the treadmill. I walk 2-2.5 miles which takes me about 40-45 mins. I can afford to lose 45 mins of my day to be healthy. It is all worth it in the end. I also log what I eat everyday and I drink at least 8 cups of water a day but more is better.
It is mind over matter, you have to make up your mind that you want it that bad. I made mine up back on 10/18/08 when I joined SP. I only weigh on Sunday, because weighing everday can bum you out because your weight can go up and down on a daily basis. I have been losing about 2-3 pounds a week.
The holidays have been a challange, but I just try to walk a little extra if I know I will be eating something extra that day, and then just try to make smart choices.
If I can do it, you can do it, so just put one foot in front of the other and walk. Somedays I have to break it up and I walk only half a mile and have to stop and rest and then I go back and walk another half mile. That is ok, because you are still moving and that is what counts. Every step counts!!
