Had a friend over for dinner this weekend and we ate crabcakes and lots of veggies including a tossed salad, steamed squash, fried onions and wilted spinach. He loved it and so did i.

just wanted to post something to renew my commitment to Spark.

  It is a great thing to be able to have fun with friends and enjoy ourselves and be able to get back to our healthy life style as normal as breathing is that relax aproach that will get you going for life.

170.2 and coming back down

It was scary bouncing back up to 175. Facing the music by making myself weigh every day, regardless how high i was afraid the number would be, is what helped most to get back down. the scale has been in the kitchen lately to remind me to weigh before eating or drinking every morning.

there will be celebration when it reads in the 160s again!

I've been eating like there is no tomorrow and have a number of reasons why.
regardless of "reasons" this has to stop!

today is a new day.
Just for today: I will nourish my body with what it needs not what it craves.

I haven't been able to read many of your blogs but it seems like you lost a lot of weight and now have some of it creeping back on. I do hope you can turn this around.

You talk a lot about your "eating" too much. Is it "eating" or "eating the wrong foods" which is the biggest problem?

I find that if I let myself get too TIRED, too BUSY or too DEHYDRATED that my eating tends towards the high calorie foods and (horrors!!!) junk food.

Eight almonds = 170 calories and I'd still be hungry!!! I could have a huge salad with low cal dressing for that calorie range and feel stuffed.

I don't always practice what I am preaching...but at least I am becoming aware of a few things.

172.2 getting back on track

my eating has been "bad" and exercise is difficult. A break in the usual routine and everything seems to come undone.

I am going to take the bus today because it makes me walk more.
