First day of graduate school

If you ever told me that I would be in graduate school and training for five K's last year I would have told you that you need to see a doctor. I have never been so excited and afraid at the same time. I also had a double middle ear infection. I was glad that I kept up with my exercise routine with the help of my sparks couch. Ten minutes at a time. I dropped two pounds and the doctor said it helped my ears drain so I did not get as sick. I felt like staying in bed but, I got up and took the day ten minutes at a time . I am glad I did. It turned out to be a great day. I also witnessed the most wonderful sunset with my husband

Using a sparks coach

I am trying out the sparks coach. I really love it. My goal from my couch is to plan my meals ahead of time today because today I will be eating out for every meal. for breakfast I plan to have egg whites with local veggies and wheat toast. At lunch a bowl of soup with crackers. For dinner a salad. I even saved enough calories for a small Italian sugar free icie. I can eat out with my family during our local food festival at still stay within my calorie range.

    It's great that you are getting a lot out of Spark Coach. I did it for awhile and you have reminded me that I really need to do it again. I am getting bored with what I am eating and really need to start planning my meals.

Been gone for a while

I have to get back on track. I did not reach my goals. I had a allergic reaction to something and my eyes have been swollen shut for an entire week. I had high temps. I did not keep on my 5k training schedule. I did not track my food, or even exercise. I am a little disappointed. I will get back up and start again today. The only high point is I did loose two pounds. I was just to sick to eat.

No excuses

Today I was looking over he inspiration on sparks people and this one particular image really struck home. Because really I am the only obstacle standing in the way of having a healthily life. I can make excuses like there is housework, homework, family time, bad day at work, you name it but, that exactly what it all is a excuse. I am standing in the way of a goal that would only improve all those areas of my life, my health. Is anything in this life really worth trading my health for? But I am stronger than my excuses and I refuse to use them anymore. Today at 300 pounds, I started to train for a 6k. I have already complete several 5k's. My friends and family think I have lost my mind. Maybe I have. Being 300 pounds is crazier to me though.
