I walked for two hours strait yesterday and completed a 5k. I did not think this was possible one month ago. emoticon

Emotional eating

I had a terrible weekend at work. I was exhausted I felt like I could not please anyone. I came home and I was about ready to go off my diet when my husband said stop. You are doing this because you are upset. I know this is true. He gave me a foot massage ( he really is the best). I went to bed early. When I woke up I had such a great feeling of self esteem for making better choices. I can't change that weekend but, I can be proud of the fact that something good did come out of it. I made one step towards conquering my emotional eating habits. Life can't be perfect and we can't control everthing but, we can make the best choices with the circumstances we are given. Good habits are what create exeptional lives.

Combining house work and exercise

I was watching the local news one day and it was talking about a women who wrote a book after loosing one hundred pounds, cleaning her house. She did lunges while vacuuming, push ups, bands, weights while doing dishes, laundry, dusting act. I could not find her book but, I took some exercises I found on the sparks people site, from a book I had and women world. I do this everyday I clean. I feel tighter and very sore. I feel great though. I love the fact I can combine two things at once. emoticon

    yes it is great isnīt it i do wall pushups every time i go in the bathroom for anything and when i am cleaning my teeth i do squats.guess i will have to start doing others though.thanks for the reminder.

Hiking the Appalachians

I did a video today were you set your elliptical to hike different parts of the Appalachian trail. It was a hard workout but, I felt great after I did it. The video was beautiful. It lasted 40 minutes and I completed the entire video. I can't believe it. The next video hiking the grand canyon. I can't believe the difference exercise makes in my attitude. I was having some anxiety last night but, with intense exercise I can see possibility's open up. This is the last day of my vacation so I hoping that returning to normal life does not derail my continued effort to care for myself. I know to care for others I must care for myself first. This is a new attitude that I must learn and stick to.

    Great job! It is so much easier to exercise and stick with it when it feels like a treat we are giving ourselves instead of a punishment we have to work out. Keep it up!

I started this new exercise routine that you exercise and do house work at the same time. It is amazing that when I first started the routine tonight I did not want to do it. After I got started I felt amazing. I was tired now I am full of energy. My house is getting clean also. It is a win win deal.
