This week has been really hard for me, not because I need to get serious about getting healthy, but because the neighboring mountain is on fire. I can't go outside to exercise unless I want to have an asthma attack from the smoke. I haven't been following my low-carb diet at all. I have been eating sporatically big meals and surfing the web for information about the Monument Wildfire. That is all I can think about. My friends and co-workers are being evacuated and my work closed down until further notice. I tell myself this is the perfect time to jump start on SparkPeople. I need to step back and think about my health. Anxiety is not good for a person. So tomorrow I will walk my dog with my mask if I have to, try to eat better, and call my doctor about my lab results. If I try to make healthy choices, maybe I will feel better.
