2nd fun run of the summer tomorrow

Saturday, June 08, 2013

It's going to be hard, i think, jammed in between two 12 hour night shifts. Still, gotta make my goal and I am going to go and do it. Hope I don't pass out! emoticon It's been such a busy summer already, outside most of the day with the boys or doing stuff to get ready to move next year to a new city, still in Idaho! So, haven't been sparking, but staying well with fitness and diet. Hard to remember to eat my salads though.

Had a long weekend, worked hard and now sore

Thursday, May 30, 2013

It's amazing how fast your muscles can get out of shape. It's been about 6 weeks since my rotc fitness class ended and this weekend I did some home improvement and have been so sore since! I need to add some strength training along with my running. Feels good to get those muscles working again, however. Just a good reminder how I need total fitness and not just aerobic activity. Working part of the week now, so will be sleeping all day. Hope to get back to my regular routine and regular sparking!

It's been good to get back on spark

Saturday, May 25, 2013

I wish there was a fitted v neck tangerine spark people shirt with driweave. I would so buy 2 of them right now. I am going to girl's camp in august with 13 year olds and the theme color is orange for our group. So, the only color they have in the shirt is green. I like it, but i need orange.

Same old work and sleep today. Looking forward to the sleep.

I will need to look at the spark stuff for gear have not done it yet. An orange shirt would be cool. I put the recipe on the calucator made a name for it but it has disapeared. Try big bear bean soup. I am going to look harder for it tonight. The ingredients I use are all in the food data base now so it should be easier for me to get it back up if I have too. If you do find it I got 22 portions not 18 need to fix it. Hope you find it if not let me know I am sure I will need to put it back on.

I have been busy, haven't kept up on sparkpeople, but lifestyle remains about the same.

Friday, May 24, 2013

It's been a busy time, last week of school for my kindergartener, springtime gardening and working a little more. so trying to catch up on all that sleep when I can. The biggest thing I notice when I don't track my food is that I don't eat as many vegetables and reach for things that are easier to eat, not necessarily good for you. Luckily, I had a lot of healthy stuff around, but still had a vegetable defecit. I am keeping my exercise schedule really well, but a few days I ate poorly (while I was working) and then when I ran the night afterward, I felt horrible. Probably combination of what I ate and the lack of sleep. Back to it though (sparking, that is) and glad of it. It's better to eat my vegetables emoticon

A great day of sleep

Friday, May 17, 2013

I am grateful for the little things in life. Usually after a 12 hour shift in the night, I am only able to sleep 4-6 hours. I got to sleep 8 hours yesterday! It was amazing. It's 230 am right now and I feel ok. It's all thanks to a wonderful husband who let me sleep and made me dinner so thank you skiforever89!

I'm glad you were able to get in more sleep...I work long shifts as well but I seem to be able to get in 6-7 strong hours which works wonders. It helps when a beautiful husband (or wife) helps out with support and being kind by making dinner~
