Insanity Results

Saturday, September 29, 2012

I am long overdue in posting my results from Insanity. Sorry no pics!

BEFORE
Left Arm: 11.5 Right Arm: 11.75
Bust: 35 Waist: 30.5
Left Thigh: 22 Right Thigh: 22.75
Hip : 45
Left Calve: 13 Right Calve: 12.75

AFTER
Left Arm: 11 Right Arm: 11
Bust: 34 Waist 28
Left Thigh: 21 Right Thigh: 21.5
Hip: 42
Forgot to measure calves!

Okay so I'm sure somebody is wondering how many pounds did I shed!!! I released 4 pounds! Trust me, I know my nutrition played a big part in that. But to note I gain about 6 pound (muscle) and then the scale was decreasing and then it stopped!!!
Initially, I was a bit down on myself thought that I could have done better.
Reality hit!!!

I completed INSANITY!!!! I wear that badge with honor and pride (should have taken pics for my shirt)!
This was no walk in the park! But you know what, it is not as bad as one may perceive it to be. Yes it is completely INSANE, but it is doable if you have no injuries.
Trust me if I can, anyone can. I still can't get over that I did it, better yet completed it!

Fit Test Results
Switch Kicks: 61, 77, 83,89, 92
Power Jacks: 34, 42, 48, 53, 58
Power Knees: 70, 80, 90, 95, 99
Power Jumps: 14, 25, 30, 34, 40
Globe Jumps: 6, 7, 7,10, 9
Suicide Jumps: 7, 6, 9, 10, 11
Push Up Jacks: 13, 15, 17, 21, 24
Low Plank Obliques: 26, 23, 32, 34, 33

Not comparing myself to anyone! Staying in my lane and proud of the progress from day 1 to 63 (no its not 60 days)!

For anyone interested in trying it, try it. I am a fan. My endurance and strength has improved. I have improved in so many exercises (I can do full out push ups, non stop)!
But anyhow, I am now going to restart P90X as I am now not afraid of muscle gain.
In the new year I plan to do another another round of Insanity combined with P90X.

All the best to those starting a new program, not just Insanity. To you I say keep doing it, YOU CAN! Such a great feeling to say I DID IT!!

P.S. I didn't miss a day (even when I did not feel like doing it or dreading it)!

Your fit test results are amazing.

I'm doing round two and I'm alternating it with Billy blanks tae bo/bootcamp workouts. I think we need to shock our body not to get used to routine.

So the next 63 days are really 126 days!

I am focusing on my eating now too. I did not lose one oz in my 63 days do to my lack of portion control. Now that I got the exercise sorted I'm sorting out the food...

Good luck with P90X. emoticon

BLC 20

Monday, September 17, 2012

Cheers to another BLC round emoticon
My overall goals is to really go back to the basics. I really need to focus on nutrition. I'm really good in working out but I tend to blow it by eating (more like over indulging) in not so great things. At the beginning of this journey I was able to moderately eat sweets. However for the last couple of months my willpower towards sweets have been horrible. So for this round of BLC I'm focusing on my nutrition.

Also, I need to focus on me and my personal goals (not fitness related). I need to focus on me instead of draining myself out for others. Its time for me to motivate me, I'm always motivating and encouraging others.

You hit home in so many areas. Finding a balance of Fats Carbs and Protein is delicate. Wishing you the very best! emoticon

FOR THE BODY I WANT- Done Girls Challenge

Thursday, July 12, 2012

I really don't like writing blogs but after reading many blogs for the challenge, why not do it! And besides, this will be a great read for me in a couple of months to see my journey.

Okay, for the body I want emoticon I have a lot of bodies in my my head. I think Kloe Kardashian has an amazing body. I love Serena Williams body (but for me little less muscles). Also Marilyn Monroe. But at the end of the day.....I can only be ME. I want to see how my muscles shape, how my curves tighten, and how my body transforms.

Where I started:

July 2010

Jan 2011
Where I am now:

June 2012

I would have never worn those shorts and tank top before!! Proves that this is more than just weight and numbers!! My confidence and mind has transformed.
So in regards to the body I want....I want the the body that I put in the effort to create happen!! I don't know what and how it will look but I do know that I want to be toned and curvacious. I also know that I want less body fat.

As for measurements:
July 1
Left Arm: 11.5 Right Arm: 11.75
Bust: 35 Waist: 30.5
Left Thigh: 22 Right Thigh: 22.75
Hip lower: 45
Left Calve: 13 Right Calve: 12.75

Goals for this challenge:
Start weight ~ 179
One Voice (7/25) ~ 176
Relaxation (8/15) ~ 174
Labor Day (9/3) ~ 171
World Heart (9/29) ~ 168
Total loss aim ~ 11

Another part of the challenge was to do something out of your comfort zone! My cousin gave me P90X and Insanity emoticon. I will start with P90X, I already do Circuit Training but this will be something a little different. So let the journey continue!!!!

Sexy Leg Workout Summer Challenge=DONE

Friday, June 22, 2012

So I did MOTIWEIGHTION's summer challenge and boy was it something! Something in a good way. It was something that I needed to keep my motivation in this journey. I've always been the type of person that believes the motivation comes from within but sometimes especially lately I need an extra kick. I did this alongside SASS, BLC-19 and Done Girl Challenge. I thought initially that this was a lot to partake on but all is and has benefited me in different ways and like I said much needed spark I need for this journey.

The commitment and dedication came to do a short circuit routine daily for 8 weeks. And I did it, I only miss 3 days emoticon. The challenge got easy as the weeks progressed so I added a little extra to push me (weight or more sets).

Here are the results:
-7lbs
-1/2 inches off waist
-3 1/2 inches off thighs
-2 inches off hips

I'm happy with the results. My goal was to release 9 lbs and I did but gained some back. But really the biggest accomplishment for me was to do workouts that I dreaded (lunges and wall squats) for this long. So for that I'm happy. At the end of the day, I'm learning some things I hate are the things I need (especially with my thighs, glutes and hips).

Ripped in 30 Week 4=DONE and February goals

Saturday, March 03, 2012

emoticon This week was tough but I did it. The combinations are quick and intense. The best part is that its over before you know it!
Overall, Ripped in 30 is good. I loss inches and gained muscle especially in my thighs.
I plan on cutting back on my strength (I was Ripped in 30 and other strength exercises) to 2 times weekly and adding more Cardio.
I did meet some of my Februar :
Reached 50 mileage
Completed Ripped in 30
Met 188 (at the end of Feb. 187, +2 today)
Did eat more cleaner than January

The other goals rollover to this month emoticon
