I read this article on re-motivating yourself. The first week's goal is to track your food, don't beat yourself up, and to start exercising, but don't go crazy (aim for 10 -20 minutes a day, just try to be consistent). I just came back from a 25 minute walk. I had planned on taking my sneakers to work so I would do it before I got home, as it's very hard to get out the door once I get here. I forgot my sneakers. When I got home tonight I came in and decided I was going to eat dinner and then go for a walk. Then I decided to just put on the sneakers and go for it, which I did.
It's a 1 day streak, but it's a streak!!

Very busy week at work; which would usually cause me to make not healthy choices, drive through McDonalds, etc. Yesterday I planned my week and made lunch for the whole week. I know that on Friday I'll be having pizza for lunch and probably will go out for dinner, followed by who knows what over next weekend, as we have our state tournament. I will closely monitor everything that goes into my mouth between now and Friday night and then try to do well over the weekend.
I WILL do this!!

My favorite play is either Les Miserables or West Side Story. West Side Story is showing in Boston the end of the month. I am dying to see it (I have seen the movie a gazzillion times, but never the play since we put it on my senior year in high school). So here is my challenge: If I do 20 minutes of exercise for the next 2 weeks AND get below 300 lbs, I will buy myself a ticket and go see this play. I know 20 minutes isn't much exercise, but it's more than I've been doing lately, and it's the streak I'm going for, not the amount. No storing exercise (i.e. working out 40 minutes one day and none the next day). If I do more than 20 minutes, good for me!!
I WILL do this!!!

Okay, I've danced around this long enough (and again, and again, and again!). I have GOT to start exercising on a regular basis! I do okay for a couple of days then come up with a million excuses. (This was even the topic at last week's WW meeting.) I have downloaded a pedometer app for my IPhone. I am going to move every day this week. Today will be a 20 minute walk, but at least it's a start!!
