Going away for awhile

Sunday, January 05, 2014

This will be my last blog for awhile. With my husband being out of work and I can't work because of his health, I have to cancel my cable and internet. So I won't be on for awhile. I will also be moving in a couple of months. I will be moving in with my son and daughter-in-law. So that I can have some help with my husband.

I want to thank all my spark friends. I will be thinking of all of you through this time. May
the Lord keep His arms around all of you.
I will not stop getting healthy in spirit and body. I will keep on reading my bible and keep God in my heart!
I wish you all the best in the coming months!-Your spark friend,Peggy emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Friday, January 03, 2014

"Rejoice always,pray continually,give thanks....for this is God's will."

Be joyful in just being alive and being redeemed by the Lord!
Be prayerful every day!
Be thankful for the things that you do have and not what you don't have!

God leaves all the choices to us. It is for us to make the right ones. But if we don't He is with us. So I know that I can control my choices.

I feel so blessed to have so many spark friends that give me support and motivation. Thank you for all that you do-Peggy

We are snowed in....in the midst of a big winter storm dubbed "Hercules". But the electricity is still ON...praise the Lord! And we are safe and warm and putting away the tree and all our Christmas decorations...so a good day to get this done!

We always can look on the sunny side, as your blog implies!

2014

Thursday, January 02, 2014

Hopefully this year will be better than last year. Had a lot of ups and downs. My husband still in alot of pain from his surgeries. I didn't take care of myself for most of the year. Had to much stress. I have decided that this year will be my year.
I have started out with joining a challenge. I have started to exercise again. Which is giving me a lot of aches and pain. Today I walked for 2 miles inside(because of the snow) and did
6 loads of laundry. I did go out 3 times to walk the dogs. Will go out another 2 times before bed.
I have decided to put God first in my life. I know that I have to trust in Him to lead me along the way. I am going to read my bible from front to back during this year. I also will be finding a verse of scripture that I want as my mantra for the year. So if you have any ideas, please let me know.
I hope that everyone has a safe and blessed weekend!-Peggy emoticon emoticon emoticon

Those are wonderful goals for any of us. emoticon When we abide in Christ and trust in God, no matter what happens in our lives, we have the peace of God through it all, and the assurance He is right there with us, helping us to succeed.

emoticon I have 2 favorite verses for when I am feeling low for one reason or another...from experiencing a trial or being hurt by someone, or being disappointed in myself.

"For we know that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose''. 'Romans 8:28

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jere. 29:11

God bless you as you take care of your own health this year.
You are important too, you know. emoticon

I know when I am in the word and start my day with God, everything falls into place and I'm so thankful. My verse this month is 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. I do love the Philippians verse as well....I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Sometimes, I just call out to God and ask Him to stop me from whatever I'm about to do....usually comfort myself with food. I ask Him to give me what I need. Try it....it works. Wishing you great success in 2014!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Whenever I'm tempted to overeat or feel like I cant handle a situation, I like to say in my mind or out loud: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" I think its really great you have a goal to read the bible and use scripture as a mantra. Reading the bible is one of my goals this year too. You can do this! Wishing you a great 2014!

Something to share

Tuesday, December 24, 2013

I read this today and wanted to share it with you.

Without all the things that make Christmas what Christmas is we would be eternally lost. We are
all lost, without hope, because we all have sin in our life. We are born into sin and can do nothing
to rid ourselves of the sin habit. God is Holy and so He can't tolerate any sin. He will not hear us through our sins, and we remain forever separated from God. But there is Christmas. Praise God! Jesus did come on that dark night some 2000 years ago! He came so that through Him we can be saved, completely forgiven of our sins and enter the presence of a Holy God! There is a Christmas! We need Christmas- thank God for Christmas today-Ron Edmonson.

I am so glad we did not have any money to spend on Christmas because it left nothing else to do but celebrate the birth of our Savior. We are indeed blessed beyond any earthy measure. Thank you for sharing.

This is a great blog. We spend a special time with Jesus every Christmas to thank Him for His coming and also dying. The horror that Jesus went through so that we can have salvation for eternity, only shows that Heaven really means what they say. Heaven really wants us and that we have a special place in Abba's heart, Jesus' heart and the Holy Spirit's heart.

my best friend and spiritual older brother saw a church sign on his way to work. It said " No Christ= No Christmas. without Jesus Christ in Christmas. there isn't any Christmas. one of my biggest pet peeves seeing people X Christ out of Christmas. that makes my skin crawl.
