Pumpkin Angel Cake - 77 calories a slice
1 WW Point Plus per slice
3 WW Point Plus per 2 slices
1 Can Pumpkin - 100% PURE (NOT PUMPKIN PIE MIX)
1 Box Angel Food Cake Mix
- Mix cake mix and pumpkin together in bowl until combined well. DO NOT ADD WATER, JUST THE MIX AND PUMPKIN.
- Pour mixture into un-greased rectangular baking dish or sheet cake pan
- Bake @ 350 - 400* (whatever box says) for about 35 minutes or longer until top of cake is dry and cracking and toothpick or knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely and then slice into 24 peices. 3 cuts long ways X 5 cuts short ways.

figured I would drop an update as to how I am doing.
I guess my eating has been doing ok. I am trying to keep portions small and not overeat, trying to make healthy meals and not buy snack foods like chips and ice cream and stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with eating these foods in moderation, I am just not at a point right now where I can do that. Funny how you can be so great at controling yourself at one point and then feel like you will totaly lose control at another.
I have to give myself props, even though I have been having problems staying focused and have felt its been a struggle pretty much all of 2011, I have maintained my weight within a 5 - 10 pounds. Its going on 9 months now that I have stayed between 155 - 162. Even though I feel like I am failing horribly most of the time, I think I will stop and give myself a pat on the back for that.

In other news, I am preparing to go on a trip next month. Me and the hubby were invited to a friend of his wedding in DE and I am really excited. I have never been to a wedding besides my own, (back yard wedding planned by me) and although my own wedding was nice, this is like a wedding planner, fancy hotel, catering ect type deal. I get to wear a pretty dress and dance and stuff. Dont know how much dancing I might do, but the option is open.
I bought a really awesome dress which took me about 3 weeks to find. ugh, it was a nightmare. I got really stuck on the fact that I wanted a dark green dress, and it turns out that its not very common. I found my dress a few days ago though and its beautiful and I am completely happy with it which is amazing all in itself because I rarely find anything I really like. Its an olive green cocktail dress with one strap which has green jewels and green feathers on it. Its awesome. I will be taking some pictures when we go to the wedding so I will post some afterwards.
I went out last night and bought some shapewear. I actually found what I was looking for too... amazing things are happening. lol. good luck shopping, wtf? lol. I tried a strapless bra but it was not working with the extra skin on me, everything tends to droop downwards, so with no straps to hold the bra up, I might as well not even wear one. But I found a one peice thingy that covers like a slip, so the tummy part holds up the breast part and it works out pretty well. Im happy with the final outcome.
Anyway, we are leaving on September 9th and staying until Sept 12th. We would have come back on the day after the wedding but we are flying and hell if I am flying on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. We are staying at a 5 star hotel, the wedding discount turned a $400 a night room into a $159 a night room. We have pretty much decided that since we are spending so much to go up to this wedding that we are going to make this weekend our anniversary weekend. Our anniversary is exactly a month away from the weekend we are going up there so we might as well. Def not gonna have the money to do anything for our anniversary after this anyway. lol.
I will make sure to blog about the trip though and take lots of pictures. Im going to try not to eat too horrible but I cant promiss much. I know Im eating wedding cake and the meal they are serving does not sound lite.
It would be nice to lose 5 pounds before the trip, just so it wont be too bad when I gain the 5 back, while away.
well I am off to do some cleaning before the kids wake up.

Breakfast: 263 calories
whole wheat toaster waffle w/ 2 tbls lite pancake syrup. 2 scrambled egg whites w/ shredded cheddar cheese. 1/2 grapefruit.
Snack: 348 calories
Took my kids to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie. Had 1/2 box of Raisinettes and an unplanned 2 cups of buttered movie theater popcorn.
Lunch: 247 calories
Shrimp taco made w/ 1 whole wheat pita, 6 large precooked shrimp, 1/2 serving guacamole, lettuce.
Went with something a bit lower in calories because of the movie snacks
Snack: 140 calories
Skinny cow candy bar
3/4 cup almond milk
Dinner: 423 calories
Red beans, sausage and rice (brown and wild rice, kidney beans, tomatoes, onions, jalapeno, turkey sausage and seasonings.
Snack: 262 calories
homemade white wine sangria
frozen mock smores (graham crackers, fat free cool whip, chocolate chips)
target calories - 1400-1700
Daily total - 1583

Breakfast : 253 calories
1.25 cup special k w/ red berries
1 cup almond milk
1/2 large banana - started with a whole but my daughter kept taking bites
Lunch: 304 calories
Open faced Ham & spinach dip english muffins
Lunch may seem a bit weird... I looked in the fridge and saw the leftover spinach dip I made and really wanted some so I came up with this. Just put it together and placed it in the oven on broil for a few minutes, came out really really tastey.

Snack: 90 calories
1/2 cup plain fat free greek yogurt mixed with splenda
1/2 cup frozen blueberries thawed in the microwave a few minutes and poured over yogurt
Dinner: 478 calories
Turkey sausage & broccoli pasta : whole wheat pasta sauteed with olive oil, light margarine, garlic, rosemary, turkey sausage, broccoli and reduced fat parmesan cheese.
Small salad - lettuce, sweet salad peppers, bacon bits, croutons, light ranch
Snack: 40 calories
1 cup almond milk
Snack: 210 calories
Apple crisp alamode
dole fruit crisp (apple cin)
1/2 serving vanilla ice cream
side of lactade :-( .... damn lactose
Target: 1400 - 1700 calories
Calories for today: 1375 ( most likely a bit more because I nibbled while cooking dinner)
No exercise today but I cleaned alot! Hopefully I burned a calorie or two doing that.
