Freedom!

Monday, January 03, 2011

I have been driving all over the place. I have taken the kids to the park twice... I went walking at the mall... I went shopping and actually got to park in the farthest spot away from the store (something that would have annoyed my husband if he were with me).

I feel so free since getting my drivers license last Thursday and I feel like I have been a lot more active.

Before I sat in the house all day and by the time hubby gets home from work at 4:30pm all he wants to do is sit around. So usually the only day I got out of the house before was Saturday to go to weight watchers and go grocery shopping.

Hubby says that he can tell a noted difference in my moods as well, and I have to admit I do feel happier.

well I have to go get my son off the bus and then Im going to take both my kids to the park to let them play and take a walk.

:-)

Hope you continue to enjoy that independence! I know the feeling of being without it. I'm so frustrated with my lack of car right now but hopefully when tax refunds roll around that will change. Independence would help my confidence + productivity SO freaking much. Here's to 2011 for both of us. :) May it be freeing.

Yes it is... Especially here in NC where sidewalks are a novelty.

That's great. It's really hard to get around in the US without a license. Have Fun!

This is really great--it gives you a chance to be a more active mommy & person in general--gets you different places to exercise. This is going to be a great thing in your life! :)

    Heck yeah girl!!

Enjoy that new freedom! I could NOT imagine NOT having a car around - and look at you gettin out there and all!! How are the plans for those art classes coming? When do you start? You helped motivate me to want to get back in the school sadde, myself...I'm going to focus on running for right now - my 5k is 2/6 (the day after my 35th - shhhhh bday) and losing a bit more weight. Then still debaiting if I should do a class for summer or just wait till fall. Fall seems soo freaking far away though.

Enjoy this new feeling!!! Of course your mood is improved - you can do practically anything you want and not have to feel bats in your belfrey (that's what I call being cooped up in a house all day) anymore!! You deserve it...now we need a pic of you in the driver's seat...lol

Good for you! It is amazing when you are used to relying on everyone else. Right now we only have the one vehicle so I am housebound all week long unless my friends take me places cuz hubby works out of town. Enjoy the your new found independence!

This is making me hungry, lol. I'm so lazy with my eating lately. I eat pretty healthy but it is usually light soup out of a can, apples, cereal, quick salads, etc. Very little creativity. Should probably work on that.

Props to you on the variety + health at the same time! :)

looks good!! are you doing the new points plus with WW or the old version? I have done WW off and on for a few years and love it. Im trying to get used to the new points system so weird that most fruits are 0 points. Can I get your receipe for the stuffed peppers and the points value.

Thanks!

I'm using weight Watchers points. But you would be surprised how far you can stretch your calories when making some good substitutions and adding in more veggies. I tracked with spark using calories and ate just as much ... Well more actually, because I weighed more.

Just think about it... One of those frozen diet meals you get is like 300 calories, and they are small as crap. (excuse my French) ... You can squeeze a 1/2 can of Progresso light soup, a turkey wrap and some veggies on the side out of 300 calories, have 3 times as much food and have it look way more appealing then the frozen meal which consists of a 2oz pressed chicken fillet, 1/4 cup of rice and a few pittiley soggy pieces of broccoli.

Anyone see my point, or how I eat as much as I do and still lose weight?

Everything looks so wonderful!!!!! Do you count the calories or is it the WW points system you go by. Just curious because it sure looks like a lot of food and I am curious how the calorie count works out.
