looks good!! are you doing the new points plus with WW or the old version? I have done WW off and on for a few years and love it. Im trying to get used to the new points system so weird that most fruits are 0 points. Can I get your receipe for the stuffed peppers and the points value.

Thanks!

I'm using weight Watchers points. But you would be surprised how far you can stretch your calories when making some good substitutions and adding in more veggies. I tracked with spark using calories and ate just as much ... Well more actually, because I weighed more.

Just think about it... One of those frozen diet meals you get is like 300 calories, and they are small as crap. (excuse my French) ... You can squeeze a 1/2 can of Progresso light soup, a turkey wrap and some veggies on the side out of 300 calories, have 3 times as much food and have it look way more appealing then the frozen meal which consists of a 2oz pressed chicken fillet, 1/4 cup of rice and a few pittiley soggy pieces of broccoli.

Anyone see my point, or how I eat as much as I do and still lose weight?

~Jess

Everything looks so wonderful!!!!! Do you count the calories or is it the WW points system you go by. Just curious because it sure looks like a lot of food and I am curious how the calorie count works out.

Never fear, i've done the same thing many times. I try to keep it in the same points range but sometimes your mouth wants a bit of something different.

WOW, that is awesome. I showed this to my husband and he said, "That's more that I eat." and he's right. It all looks so good. He only eats two meals and one snack a day. Not me! You are planning so well. I like the way you serve yourself too. very pretty and appetizing.

Yum!! You sound like a chef with your meal plans! I would love to be able to make yummy healthy things, unfortunately I am not the best cook! I definitely think its a great idea to plan meals out, and think I would be more successful if I did that too! Good Luck and Happy New Year!

new year... new habits

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

well my new years resolutions this year are

~ Stop nibbling on left overs on kids plates, snack foods in cabinet, dinner as I am making it, samples at Sam's club on Saturday when I'm shopping, and any other non meal food.

I am planning on making a point to plate everything I eat and sit down to eat it.

....

~ Plan out my meals

I am going to make a plan for a week - 2 weeks worth of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and then stick to that plan. I got a special calendar with a section for meal planning to help carry out this plan.

....

~ make exercise a habit again

I think this and the nibbling will be the hardest out of the three. I have gotten really slack a$$ in the past few months. I am planning on joining the YMCA in January though so that should give me a little extra motivation to start working out again. I want to incorporate more swimming into my workouts, I really love swimming and the Y has an indoor pool. Im excited about that.

yeah I have the nibbling thing from childhood too. Except I use to go around after my 4 other sisters and brother were done eating and eat all the leftover food.
I guess there was a reason I was the fat sister. lol.
I guess this is a bad habit I have had for a loooong time.

Great goals! I know that exercising daily is how I've lost all my weight. I do watch what I eat but I believe that exercise is so important to lose and maintain. I feel so much better after I workout! Good luck to you in 2011! emoticon emoticon

Yep the nibbling kills me also. I have definitely gotten better about it but the kids plate thing is a tough one for me. I think it came from as a kid when my parents made us clean the plate. I'll blame it on childhood... ha ha ha .
