well to refresh anyone who may not have read my previous 20 week challenge blogs, I am doing a challenge with my husband this summer. Both of us are trying to push through to our goal weights because we dont have that much left to go. We both sat down and came up with a list of goals and a reward each of us would like. The first one of us to reach our goal gets the reward that they picked out.
His reward is a playstation 3 ..... My reward is new clothes for the both of us and a trip to a theme park.
This week I have not been quite as driven as the past few weeks. My food choices have not been bad but I have felt the urge to eat more and eat bad foods... I have really been fighting against it though. I only exercised a few days this week too instead of the 5-6 days I was aiming for. My daughter has been very bad about taking her naps this past week so I am going to have to start waking up early in the morning again and doing them. Uuuhhg! I hate waking up early! you gotta do what you gotta do though.
Hubby is off to a slow start. He lost a little the first week and then gained it all back the next.... which is horrible because he was exercising. I felt really bad for him. This past week he has not exercised at all but I have been feeding him more than I was the preivious week, I think he was not getting enough calories. That seemed to do the trick because he dropped like 3+ pounds this past week.
Its cool that I am ahead but I really wanted to keep him motivated so its disapointing that he has really tried so hard and not done as well.
I have been doing weight watchers points for the last two weeks and I am impressed with how well its working out for me. Im dropping a steady 2-3 pounds a week and If I keep up with this pace then I will be at my goal way before the end of october. I fully expect to have a set back here and there though, I am sure I will step on the scale next week and only see 0.5 lbs lost or even a gain.... and thats ok because I know the scale fluctuates. Dont get me wrong.... I would be happy happy happy if I could continue to drop every week untill I reach my goal... Im just trying to be realistic so I dont get disapointed If it happens.
In other news, I am offically in size 14 jeans!!! Down from a size 26...... I got a pair at the thrift store that are Banana Republic, which run small compared to the Just My Size jeans from walmart I have been wearing. They are skinny jeans... wow and they look good on me too. I never would have thought I would ever been in skinny jeans. I also have a size 14 pair of shorts that fit now. ..... This is a major accomplishment for me because 14 has always been this size that I was shooting for when I was huge. It was like the ultimate unattainable goal. I thought I would be skinny when I was a size 14... now that I am that size, it dosent feel so small. Who knows maybe I will be in single digits when I reach my goal weight. That will be weird because I have never even imagined being anything less than a 14.... because at the time that dident even seem possible. lol. It feels great though.
