I love those flat out wraps. I have found a wrap I like even more if you are ever interested in trying something new. Give Ole Extreme Wellness Tortillas a try. :) The two I like best are Tomato Basil, and Spinach and Herb

I love the flatout flatbread wraps! They are so high in protein and fiber and are only 90 calories :-) Have you had the Morning Star Farms Maple Flavored Sausage patties? I bought a box and can't wait to try them. I had a black bean veggie burger from them once but didn't like it, so I am hoping the sausage is better!

Summer Goal Dress ~ ACHEIVED!!!

Sunday, June 13, 2010

Yay... I bought this dress about 5 months ago hoping to look good into it by summer. At first I couldent fit into it and then I looked really lumpy in it.... Now I think I look pretty rockin... I saw the pictures after I cropped them and was like... "wow thats me?". Its hard to tell how you are gonna like clothes when you cant fit them yet though, I dont think I particuraly like the bottom of the dress. I would love it if it wasent all spiky on the bottom. But anyway, I still think I looked pretty good. Here are some pics so you can see for yourself.

March around 195 or so ... too hippy.

Today - 180

I cant wait to get some more clothes that I feel really great in. emoticon

Next stage for me & my goals

Friday, June 11, 2010

well at the beginning of this year I was 200 pounds down from 273. After struggling for a month or so without making much progress I desided to set a small goal for myself for the first part of the year.

My goal went from 1/19/2010 - 6/19/2010 and I desided I wanted to lose 21 pounds. I ended up kinda struggling the first half but really killed it the second half after I started tracking my food better. All in all I stayed pretty much on track though and this week I met that goal early :-)

Now its time to set a new goal and I think that I am close enough to my final weight to go ahead an shoot for the big number. My overall goal is to be 150 pounds. I may deside that I want to lose 5 or so more once I get there but my dream for as long as I have been overweight/obease has been to get down to a healthy weight of 150 pounds.

Right now I have only 30 pounds untill I am at goal and its so exciting. I have never been 180 pounds... or at least I cant remember a time when I was that weight. It was prob middle school but I never weighed myself when I was that age. Lets just say in my entire adult life and even my teenage life, I have never been this weight. Im having some body image issues because of loose skin but overall I feel pretty good about the direction my body is headed in.

I have been keeping some clothing since I was about 19 years old. A pair of red plaid pants (I bought them cause I thought they were punk rock) they are totaly not my style anymore (I was really into rock and goth and dying my hair weird colors back then) but I bought them at a thift store when I was over 300 pounds and my thoughts on them were If I ever get small enough to wear these I will be happy and skinny... they are size 12 and I remember when I was that big everything I found that I would have liked wearing was in size 12-14.... Today I put them on and could zip them up and button them!!! They are still very tight and I look like a stuffed sausage in them but I can pull them up and zip them. These pants I have almost gotten rid of 3 or 4 times because I was like "why am I keeping these, I am never ever going to get small enough to fit in them!" But I kept them because it was a dream that I dident want to give up. I am so glad that I never truely gave up.... I always kept that little hope that I would gain something I needed to be able to actually lose weight... and I finally did. I am almost there now and can see the finish line off in the distance....and beleive me its been a very very very long race.

I have another item of clothing I kept... its an antique dress that I found at a thrift store, I have no idea what the size but I love it.... Looks like a ballet dress or the white dress marilyn monroe wears when her skirt blows up. I would like to be able to fit into it by halloween.... Its so small, maybe a size 10 so I dont know if I will make it. It would be a nice reward though. Its another thing I have kept for years and almost got rid of but dident because I love it so much.

Anyway, my current goal is to get down to 150 pounds by October 29th... the friday before halloween. I hoping to complete my goal of being able to wear a sexy halloween costume without looking gross, this year. lol. Its not overly ambitious or anything, If I lose around 1.5 pounds a week for the next 20 weeks then I can do it! ..... I need to bump up my exercise and really focus on keeping track of what I eat though.

Today I hit 180 so I opened one of my goal envelopes.... I have a stack of envelopes with rewards for each 5 pounds lost.... I dont know whats in the envelope till I open it because I have forgoten so its always a surprise.... My reward for 180 was getting my hair cut... which I am so happy about because its been over a year since I got my hair cut and the last hair cut I got I hated! Im looking forward to feeling pretty.

~ Jess

Goal Date : 6/11/2010 - 10/29/2010 ............. 20 weeks!
Goal: To go from 180.1lbs - 150lbs ....... 1.5 pounds a week
Total weight to lose: 30.1 pounds!!!

Can't wait to see you in your rocker pants! I feel you on the loose skin issue- I've been really paranoid about that lately and I finally decided scr$w it- if I end up with flabby skin and I maintain my weight for a while then I will get a tummy tuck if necessary. I've been trying to lotion up my giggly bits more often since that's the only thing I've found that people say might help reduce floppy skin.

It occurred to me that this particular issue would have been a great thing to be aware of BEFORE I got all fat- had I known or thought about that my skin might never "snap back" completely maybe I would have stopped myself before I hit 197 pounds... oh well, too late now !
