Sunday, August 23, 2009

This morning a yellow swallowtail came to visit our butterfly bush. I ran for my camera and got a video for you. Hope everyone in Spark Land has a good week.

Life is like a butterfly being pestered by a bee!

Friday, August 14, 2009

I found a butterfly on our butterfly bush. When I took the video of the butterfly I didn't notice it was being pestered by a bee. Isn't life like this? Sometimes things aren't as they first seem to be! LOL

That's great! I've never seen anything like this, and I have lots of both bees and butterflies. Guess I haven't been paying close enough attention.

That bee! She had so many other flowers to go to. She could have left that butterfly alone! What a beautiful video! Thanks for sharing.

It is great to have good Spark People Friends!

Friday, August 14, 2009

Thank you Friends for the welcome back. I am grateful to my Spark People Friends. I really like the encourgagement and support! I am back on the South Beach Foods! I am down a pound already and I am hoping that it will stay for tomorrow mornings weigh in on 'Friends on our journey together'.
A couple of days ago, I turned 66! I had to take my eye test ( I passed) for a new drivers license. My weight on my license has been '160' for many years although my weight went up to 186! This morning it was 169! My goal is to get to the 160 mark by the beginning of 2010! Wouldn't that be great? Yep, it will be my new mini goal!
I will be reading Spark People Blogs to see how my Friends are doing!

Welcome back Lorraine! I hope you had a fabulous vacation! Good for you for getting right back on track with your program. I'm willing to bet that you will see fast results since you were able to take a little break from it (gives the body a chance to bypass a plateau). You're so far ahead of the game with your healthy lifestyle, that you'll be back on that wagon and feeling great. Keep going!!! emoticon emoticon

Planting our new flower garden is great exercise!

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

We lost a large Rose of Sharon last spring. We dug it out, planted a little Rose of Sharon that was growing near by, and I planted 22 plants which included yellow coreopsis, pink sweet williams, hostas, daisies, blue salvia and pink phlox.

I love your video blogs. I have a Rose of Sharon that has never done anything. I think I'll have to get another one and plant it somewhere else. I love them.Enjoy that yard and pond.
