I have my first 10K trail run coming up this Saturday. I'm nervous about it. It's been awhile since I've run or done an obstacle race. Plus I've never run 6 miles straight through before, nor have I ever done trail running before. And it doesn't help that the people I'm running it with all run at least 5 miles regularly and some have even done half marathons.
I'm not really sure why I signed up for it, lol I think I was thinking it would just be a nice day outdoors, a day to enjoy the crisp winter air on the trails, regardless if I can run it all or not. So I'm trying to maintain that mindset, to stay focused on myself and whatever it is I'm able to accomplish, not compare myself to others. It's tough sometimes. Though I did run 30 minutes straight today! Definitely proud of that. So bring it trails!
