I had a busy weekend.
Yesterday started out by volunteering at our community food pantry. It was the first time that I had volunteered there. I recently signed up with an organization in my town that coordinates volunteer activities. The food pantry had a few volunteers (some students) and I ended up being there only an hour versus the two hours that I originally thought. I spent the hour, checking freshness dates on the food and stacking the shelves.
From there I went and picked up my mother and DH for a family birthday party at a local restaurant. The service was slow but it was good to chat with everyone. Then we went back to my aunt’s house for cake and ice cream.
Today we had no plans outside of the house. I started the day with Day 1 of Chris Freytag’s 10lb Slimdown Xtreme – Total Body and Buns. The Total Body workout was 40 minutes. It was pretty intense. I made it through the entire workout but did modify some of the exercises. After that I did the 10 minute Buns workout. All I can say is OMG! This workout is all lunges and squats. Clock lunges with weight, lunges with knee lifts, squats with weights, squats picking weights off the floor, etc.
That was about 5-6 hours ago and I can already feel my legs. It will be interesting tomorrow to see how I feel. On schedule tomorrow is Cardio Kickboxing - thankfully not a lower body workout.
