Thanks for the information. I wonder how many grapes there are in three ounces of red wine. I figured I must have about 42 carrots each day or more. WooHoo!

Today

Training is done. emoticon Three days of learning about a dry subject just makes for lots of stress. I think it was made worse by training onsite so during breaks I would run back to my desk and check email and VM. Then run back to class. The good thing was that the "running" was up and down stairs so I got a lot of steps in.

I hadn't been able to workout for two days. Today I left after training ended and got a good workout in at home. That felt great!

Tomorrow it's back to the regular routine and I'm looking forward to it!

I know how you feel. I hate training days. I am not one for sitting. I have to go through it next week when I go for my relocation specialist training. 9 am - 3 p.m., but at least it's only 1 day :)

Too Much Eating

Saturday, October 15, 2011

This past week was not good. DH went on a business trip and I lost my anchor. emoticon I could have used the time to do great and be on point (no dinners out) but I didn't. Instead I drifted like a ship at sea.

Bad points with sporadic tracking, poor choices, snacking. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good points were a couple of good meals a day. Usually breakfast and lunch. Dinners were all over the place. I didn't plan and that's where I went wrong. I have to plan.

On a good note, I continue on with my 10lb slimdown xtreme workouts. I am loving them.

DH arrived home last night and we are going for groceries today and I PLAN to plan! emoticon

I've been guilty of that, too. I was alone for a weekend in February. Perfect opportunity for "me" time and to eat on my own terms. But I totally blew it in terms of both eating and using the time. Sometimes it is hard to stay focused when you have too much freedom. Glad you are moving back to normal.

Planning can make all the difference in the world. If left to my own devices, it'll be whatever happens to be quick and convenient. On the upside, if there's salad stuff in the fridge, that usually wins out. :P

Week 1 Completed:10lb Xtreme Slimdown

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Yesterday I finished the first week of 10lb Xtreme Slimdown. I made it and I'm still walking! What I learned from this workout is that I am strong but still have some areas in which I could be stronger. emoticon

Strengths: Cardio-I have lots of stamina for the cardio kickboxing segment and cardio intervals.

Area Needing Improvement: Lower Body. I learned the hard way with the lower body workout. The second day I did the lower body workout (after doing the Total body workout the day before) and then topped it off with the "Bonus Buns" workout. The result: A few days of severe soreness! Simply put-I did too many reps. I should have probably done half to start. But I am learning.

Today I will start Week 2. I can't say that I have seen any results yet (although I haven't measured). My weight is about the same-give or take half a pound but I can feel results coming!

A good way to know if there is a difference is to take some pics right now. Then, when you finish week two, take the pics again in the same location, with the same outfit. You'll know.

Corn Maze

Saturday, October 08, 2011

Today was a good day. After grocery shopping with my mother, DH and I went to a corn maze in Haverhill, MA. It was fun to walk through it and try to find our way. They had questions on signposts. If you guessed right (not that you knew) you'd go the right way and if you guessed wrong, you'd have a longer route.

As the Boston Bruins are the Stanley Cup Champions this year the maze was designed around them. Here's a photo of it:

Later I did my Xtreme Yoga and some WIO and made a yummy dinner of Greek chicken for dinner.
