Today is a new day

Today is a new day!!!! Do something different, Life should be more than a routine. Go for a walk, hug someone (I rarely hug people but I started doing this lately and it feels good), call a relative/friend. Just do something different.
Let's get excited each day because itís Godís way of giving us chances to rewrite yesterday mistakes.

**My day just started and I just wanted to post this before going to the gym. Iím still studying for final exams and itís hard to believe that Iím in my 3rd year. Itís a silly feeling because Iíll be in 4th year by SeptemberÖ..whatever

As I was saying, whatever good thing(action) God has laid upon your heart or that you keep remembering or thinking about DO IT. Letís stop wasting energy over-thinking or over-analyzing things. You donít have to wait till Monday or December 25 or Feb 14 or your birthday to do what you need to do. Those days wonít make our actions any easier. The only thing different on such days is our mindset.

On that note,
~ Letís form a decisive habit. Itís better to make a mistake and learn from it than to do nothing at all.
~Letís make up our minds to be stronger and healthier. Care less about what people will say because people will talk no matter what you do.
~Letís make up our minds to be happy each day. We can control how we react to events
~Letís realize that each day is a gift from God. A gift that allows us to do or take action on the good we want to achieve in life. Life is very good, all we have to do is go out and see the good.

You are stronger than you think!!!!!

    Great advice! I especially agree with you on not caring about what others say or think. Like you say, people are always going to talk. No matter what you do, you can't please everybody, right? So why bother? Just be yourself and keep going. =)

Sick Day

Yes, I'm still here emoticon .
Today I wore a tank top and i noticed my tummy looks so much better Woot!!!Woot!!!
I hate feeling sick. I can't weight train because of how weak I feel emoticon . I have to come up with something to do today.

Go hard!!!

    I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I've been sick, too, and unable to lift weights! It's hard not to be able to do your activities.

Recuperation is important, too, though. Here's to recovering from illness! emoticon

    Hey Partner!!! It's ok to have a rest day. I had a day like that back on 3/20 and blogged, too, about needing to rest. Being healthy is about more than exercise. It's also about resting. Drink water. Allow your body to recuperate and you will get better. emoticon

I hope it's not too cold outside today. I will be doing some yoga at home, then take a walk outside at night.It's so beautiful walking in the night, the night lights and the darkness just make everything pretty.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G day

Today will be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G; I feel it. So why not start the awesome day with 20 mins cardio and ST; chest and triceps!!!

Y`all are so cool, I can`t even slack off.

Late update: I made it to the gym around 11 am and the gym was packed (yes, I woke up around 10 am emoticon ), so I decided to change from chest/tris to legs because I easily lose focus when doing chest/triceps. Anyways, I increased my leg press to 65 lbs from 60 lbs after dong 2 warm ups sets. I'm so happy I added warm up sets to my routine, it has increased my intensity.

And as I said before, I added walking lunges with 5 lbs dumbbells. I was going to chicken out and not do it, but I didn't. Yay me!!!! Lunges are a great addition to any workout, at first I had a problem tracking which leg was next but after the 1st set I got a hang of it. I will keep using the 5 lbs until my form is nearly perfect, I'm rushing nowhere. I was breathing so hard and some high school students were staring at me... emoticon

I decided not to do stair climbs for cardio yesterday because of shin splints. I've had this occasionally for years now and it is so painful. Instead I took a walk from school to my friend's house, which lasted more than 20 mins.

I worked hard!!!!

To the gym, to the gym

I will be doing 20 mins cardio up and down my stairs. I did this yesterday and I got exhausted within the first 5 mins...LOL. I kept going though and today my calves hurt.
After my cardio, I will be going to the gym for chest/triceps training. I hope it goes well; last week was the first time I felt my triceps fail. It was really cool.

I'll be updating soon to say how I feel.

Update: I finished my 20 mins of cardio some minutes ago and it was fun and at the same time not fun. I did better than yesterday though, I pushed my self to do 5/6 reps ( 1 rep = down and up the stairs; I started from the top) with 1 min rest and sometimes did more than that until I could move no further. I had 1L bottle of water at the top of the stairs. I drank so much water because I kept feeling really thirsty and when I got tired I started to chant uplifting words up and down the stairs...LOL
To make this interesting, tomorrow I'll count the number of reps I can do before I get exhausted.

I still need to go to the gym today to show my chest and triceps who is boss.
I'll be updating soon.

Update: I got to the gym around 7 pm. I did most of my workouts apart from the triceps push down and narrow push ups. I did 3 sets of wide push ups though and I was better than last week emoticon .
Sadly, I lost focus because people kept dropping their weights on the floor. I know I have to get used to this but people rarely do this in the morning. So I'll try to get in my workouts in the mornings. emoticon
****I learnt something; never do overhead triceps extensions before push ups. I did this twice and both times I couldn't do the narrow push ups because my triceps failed.

Keep drinking H2O!!!!!

I second the recommendation for workout tunes. I usually listen to Ke$ha. Or something equally motivating.

    Good on you, work in a little every day.

I highly recommend some good. hardcore workout tunes.....they'll get you up and down those stairs faster if not easier!
