Well, I waited a couple of weeks to make sure it wasn't just water weight... I've gained back 3 pounds. My weight has been fluctuating between 140 and 144. This morning I weighed 142. So, I'm counting that as my new weight. I hope it is more muscle than fat.

I've been back to a walking routine for a week now. I feel good. I some how hurt my left ankle, but I've wrapped it and am walking through the pain.

I went shopping this weekend for some new workout pants. I purchased a size Medium. I've always worn a Large or XL for as long as I can remember. I hope it is a true Medium and not just one of those "vanity" sizes. They are "Lee Sport" brand, so hopefully they hold true to real sizes. I wish women's clothes were like men's with inches instead of s,m,l,xl.

I really need to get a pic of myself and post. Problem is... I'm generally the one behind the camera.


Added my Sparkpage to the Directory

Though I've been here since 9/07, I'm still figuring things out. I have finally found out how to add my Sparkpage to the directory of members. Now everyone can see it (not that's there's a whole lot there.) I don't even have a pic of myself. I'm usually the one behind the camera.

I've been viewing others Spark pages over the last week or so, and I have been very motivated by your stories. Thank you.

I promise I'll add more to the page as soon as I can. With two daughters, my DH, my 84 yo live-in gran, and two nephews (who I babysit before and after school), it's hard to get a whole lot done.

Well, it's been a while since I blogged... too much other stuff going on. I'm still not seeing a difference on the scales. I really don't like that thing.

I'm finally starting my walking regimen. I hope to be able to walk at least 30 minutes a day for 3 days a week. I'm shooting for 5 if the weather permits. As of today, I've gotten 2 days in this week. Looks like the weather won't hold out though, since they are calling for storms for this afternoon straight through the weekend.

For those who know a little about my sit., my live-in grandmother is back home with us after staying a month with her SIL. She came down from Michigan, and they stayed at my gran's house in the next county over. My gran was very happy to get back. She's been with us here a bit over a year. It did both of us some good (lessened my stress level), but I'm glad she's back where I can keep an eye on her. The dementia seemed to be worse the first week she was back, but things are getting better now... back into her routine.

There's only about a month and a half left of this year's school. It seems like they just started. Oh how time flies. My older daughter will be starting 3rd next year, and hopefully my baby will be accepted to the school's pre-K program for the fall. It's a limited program. Otherwise, we'll wait until she goes to Kindergarten in two years. She is SO ready for school. (BTW... I posted a pic of my girls today. It was taken at Easter. The other pic is of artwork that my baby sister did for my dad as a Christmas present. I wish I were that talented.)

I cannot believe it! Even with all the candy in the house, I have lost 3 more pounds. I got bogged down with typing in all the foods I've been eating, so I decided to just keep up with the amount of calories I'm eating. It's working better since I know that I've only got a certain number left in the day. That way, I pass on the candy in the ToT bags. LOL

I'm beginning to wonder if part of my weight loss has to do with not having a gallbladder anymore. ???? It's something I'm going to have to look into.


Halloween Derailed Me

Okay, the girls' Trick or Treat bags have been irresistable. I cannot stay away from the Skittles and the Dots. My sweet tooth has just been too controlling. I'm still near the 146 weight, so that is good. But, I don't want to gain above 150. For the first time in forever, I weigh less than my twin sister. I want to keep losing. Maybe, she will lose, too.
