What to do - What to do!

Saturday, September 07, 2013

Now that I have my Saturday list done, what shall I do?????
I am feeling so accomplished today because I stuck to my guns and got it done.
So you know what that means????? I get to watch FOOTBALL!!!!!

I wish that my husband enjoyed football as much as I do. Heck, I wish he liked sports as much as I do......

What are you doing today to achieve your goals? Have you set your goals? Do you see that finish line in rear view or clearly in front of ya?

Day 3 of Slim in 6

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

After finding out I have plantar faciatis (apologize for the spelling) and battling a summer cold, I decided to re-introduce my body to workouts. I am a fan of high intensity cardio (turbo fire and Insanity) but doing a lighter workout was going to shock the system. Suprisingly, Sim in 6 is a program that keeps you moving and the sweat pouring.

It is a great workout and I look forward to doing it everyday. Heck yes I do. It is exactly what I needed to get back on the right track......

Have a beautiful day Sparkers!

Thank you everyone!

I can't thank everyone enough for their support and comment that have been shared on my blog. It is a struggle, as most of you know, but it proven that with support and motivation - anything can be accomplished.

I will continue to see that finish line in the distance. I know it is there because of the feeling that I have everyday - euphoric to say the least. My endurance and stamina is increasing and I love it.

I am forever in debt to your support! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Made it to "40"!!!!

Sunday, August 25, 2013

I did it....Completed Warrior Dash before turning the big 40.....
Race day was blah......MIGRAINE!!!!! But I pushed through it. Running was not an option because I felt like I was going to lose my morning protein shake. My sister and I did a fast pace walk and got through every challenge except one....It really does suck to have short legs.

I am looking forward to next year. It will be a sisters affair. My older sister (who ran this year with me) and two little sisters will be doing it together. Start and finish together. Plus an additional 20 people joining in on the fun!

Set a goal and see it through - don't measure your success in time but the FINISH LINE!!!!!

Warrior Dash Training

Saturday, May 18, 2013

As I approach the big "40", I find myself contemplating all the things that I have yet to accomplish and see. Therefore the beginnings of the bucket list has started. And one of the items is to complete the Warrior Dash therefore I registered for the race which takes place on July 28th....

It is my goal to complete it in under an hour. I know that I can do this. To help me scale that scary wall, I have been doing body beast. So seriously loving the program. It has changed my muscle structure immensely. I have 5 weeks left of the program. I can't wait to see the final results.

To ensure that I finish the race, my sister and cousin have decided to wager a little bet on completing the race - loser buys sushi...I don't plan on losing the race. Ha Ha!

What is on your bucket list?

Good luck at the race! My husband and I ran it a few years ago. LOVED IT and how I felt about myself after it was over. Such a great accomplishment. You will feel like you can accomplish anything when you are done.
A few suggestions: Make sure you are very well hydrated before the race, don't wear baggy clothes (they will weigh you down big time in the mud), during the mud portion at the end - do not put your whole body in the mud if you can help it. Try to go through it on your hands and feet (kindof like a monkey for lack of better explanation). Be prepared to have mud in places mud should never be...lol. And most important - have fun!! Enjoy all the people around you in the crazy costumes. I know you mentioned wanting to do it in under an hour. It's very feasible to do so but be prepared for it to take longer than you think. Only because of the shear amount of people. Lots of the obstacles we had to wait for others to finish and it took some time.
Good luck!! And it's so awesome you can cross something off your bucket list!
