Had my gallbladder removed a little over 2 weeks ago on 1/8. Still recovering, went back to work last wed., boy was i wiped out this weekend! Eating is ok, but digestion is much quicker...so have to be careful! Haven't been able to exercise much, but I will start up again slowly on Monday, it is like I am starting all over again!!! Oh Well, that's the way life is! emoticon

Jan 14 six month check up

Went today for my 6 month checkup group. My vitamin D is low and so need to work on that. But part of it is I hate going out in the sun and that doesn't help. I need to take higher supplements for a little while. Oh well, not that big a deal.
As of today, Since Feb. 8 2009 I have lost 125lbs, just 100 lbs to go to be a "normal" weight.

Wow I looked at my last blog and that was a year ago, in some ways it seems YEARS ago. Since that blog I have lost 122 lbs. From Feb 8 2009 until June 18, 2009 I was on a pre op diet and lost 55 lbs. I had RNY Gastric Bypass on June 18 and have lost 67lbs since then. Even with the surgery it isn't easy to lose. And exercising is still difficult for me, I do it, but get lazy and don't work as hard as I could.

I just need support and motivation to keep me on the exercise trail!!!


A New Year 2009

I've written and spoken about wanting to lose weight, I do fine for a while and then get right back where I started. I don't make New Year's resolutions, but this year I am going to make losing 50lbs or more a resolution. I have to do this or I will get the lap band surgery.
Another resolution….a hard one! One diet soda a day, NO MORE! They are my vice, I enjoy them so much, but I’m sure they are adding to my weight issues.

Life has a way of getting in the way of trying to lose weight. Stress, family obligations etc., are not excuses, but seem to derail me at times. I gained more weight...I was losing but fell back into being lazy and not eating right.

I know all the right things to do, ask me and I can tell you about every diet, how many calories are in things, but just haven't had the motivation. Well I'm starting again....all over again for the millionth time, but each time could be the one!

    I wish you the best of luck on your journey and hope for you that this time is THE ONE! If you have time at the end of the day, go for a little stroll to review the days events and LET GO of all the negative things and go to bed with a smile on your face and the positives of the day floating through into your dreams. You'll wake up happier and more motivated to face the day with a Can Do attitude.
