2/6/08 off to a bad start

So the last 2 days have been difficult as my dad was in the hospital for dehydration, nothing too serious, but I spent more time at the hospital than home and haven't slept well. Did well with my eating, resisted temptation of getting fast food for dinner, so not all is lost. Hope that he will be home tonight so that i can get back into the routine.

    Hope your dad is doing better. Sounds like you made good eating choices in spite of the stress. That is not easily done, so kudos to you.
When in a similiar situation, I had a "Hospital Plan B" for keeping on track...an always packed bag of healthy, high protein snacks, water, and some knitting stored in the car trunk. Worked pretty well most of the time.

I always think of Monday as the beginning of a new week. A time to start new goals or restart healthy eating, whatever it is, each week is a new week, filled with new beginnings! It is also a time of ending things that are not healthy as well, but I tend to put a more positive spin, that I am replacing the unhealthy wih the healthy!!

My family taught me to be a giving person, not a wimp, but to truly give from the heart. Just by doing little things for people I feel like I am paying it forward. It makes me and whoever is recieving the favor a good feeling. Anf if you feel good you pass it on and things just get better and better.

My goal for next week is to exercise at least 3 days for 30 minutes . Exercise is my weakness, but I know I can do this.

    You can do it!! I know...I've been a couch potato most of my life and have just started on an exercise routine. I do 40 min. cardio training every day and 20 min. strength training twice a week. It's been tough, but I'm making myself do it. Don't mean to sound cliché...but if I can do it...anyone can. So don't give up! If you need a buddy, I'm here.
