Day Ninety-four - Time to knuckle down! - 4/5/10

Monday, April 05, 2010

Aaahhhhh, made it through the week. I didn't go quite as nuts as I normally would have, but then again, I'm learning to not set unrealistic goals and expectations of myself. For the most part, I got my rest, made time for my daily devotions, ate within all my guidelines everyday (except yesterday) and drank my water and took my vitamins and wore my seat belt....but the fitness really suffered. That and staying in touch with all my Spark friends. So, that is the goal for this week. To get caught up. I started this morning, but didn't realize how far behind I could fall in just one week. It may take another day to get all the emails and Sparking caught up, but the fitness may be another matter. I seem to be farther behind than just a week...and it's just one month till my 5K, so I'm really going to have to knuckle down. Today was a fiasco running wise. I'm hoping that I'm just a little sluggish from the holiday and the extra rich eating. It's going to be alot of work to get caught up and I know that I'll be extra hard on myself until I do, but the services this weekend were worth it! I even managed to sit down after dinner with the company and we all enjoyed a movie together...and that's something I rarely do. But enough of that for a while. Back to work tomorrow and hitting the fitness hard this month. Keeping the eating under control isn't so much an issue, so I'm making the fitness and staying caught up on staying in touch my goals for the month. Let's see how well I can juggle these balls!

You have the determination to get back on track. At least you met most of your goals. Now you can concentrate on fitness again.
It is so easy to get behind when life happens and it takes so long to play catch up. I have a feeling that might happen a lot this summer when there are so many things to do.
We can do this... stay focused on all our goals.

I love how you are focusing your goals into something manageable for yourself. Setting those realistic goals will help you feel successful and positive. You can do so much more when you are feeling good about what you ARE doing rather than focusing on what isn't. You are doing great!

Your fitness will definately benefit from your attention this week. I can't wait to hear how well your run went at the end of the week.

That has to be such a great feeling, putting on clothes that are too big. That sounds like you my need to reward yourself with a little shopping spree once you've hit your target. Good for you.

Happy Easter!

Day Ninety-0ne - THREE MONTHS & TWENTY-SIX POUNDS DOWN! - 3/2/10

Saturday, April 03, 2010

WOW!!! I've been dying to say this.....I've lost an average two year old, AND his hamster!!! That being said, one of the big life lessons I've learned since joining SP is that one needs to take care of their body ands part of that is sleep. It is now after 11pm and I am back up at 5am for work and then straight to work for our Easter Saturday service. This week is almost over and I promise I'll catch up with everyone and fill you all in, but for now, WooHoo on the 3 months ansd 26 pounds and still going strong.....miss you all!!!

That is incredible. It is a little mind blowing what we have accomplished in such a little time. I don't know about you, but I have never been this successful on any other program. It truely is about making a lifestyle change instead of thinking about it as a diet.

Happy Easter my spark friend!

Day Ninety - April Fools - 4/1/10

Thursday, April 01, 2010

Today I am setting a new record for myself - the LOWEST spark points score I have ever managed since I started this journey. It is just after 10pm, just got home from lighting practice - left the house at 8:30 this am and have to be up at 5am to go to work tomorrow. I got my food tracked and am choking down the last of what I need to meet my minimums before bed, while I blog. I MIGHT get my other goals recorded, but only if I don't finish this popcorn ball first. Tomorrow is no lighter of a day and Saturday is only better in light of the fact that I should be home by 7:30 on Saturday night.

If feel awful that I don't have time to Spark and visit with you friends...you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you can understand. I'll be back on Sunday evening once the sisters are gone and life gets back to "normal". In the meantime know that I love you all and emoticon

Oh, yeah, and I hit the twenty-five pound loss mark this morning! emoticon

Day Eighty-nine - Hopeful and Hanging in There - 3/31/10

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Day one of my busiest streak to date is done and I'm off to bed. I don't have to be at work until noon, and it's just past 10:30 now, so if I get a decent night's sleep, I hope to do W6D3 of C25K before work. It's probably the only chance I'll have to do ANY fitness untill after Easter. I didn't even have ten minutes today to do my stretching....this is really making me feel like I'm falling behind and if I can get that run done tomorrow, maybe the momentum will carry me through the next few days.

I'm trying to not feel too bad. My pedometer is showing over 17,000 steps for just over 7miles today, so it isn't like I'm sitting around and not moving....jus nothing trackable fitness wise.

On the upside, practice for the Easter service went very well tonight. I think I've got just about all the lighting cues done except to adjust for whatever clothing changes people make on Saturday and Sunday. We usually only have two services on Sunday, but we added the one on Saturday, so I'll be running to church straight from work for that one. Tomorrow night I have practice for the Good Friday service. Hope it goes as well....alot more music in that one. We'll just have to see what they have planned. Probably not too much lighting as it is a more somber service.

I'm trying to keep the mindset that as long as I can fullfill all of my commitments this week and stay on track fitness wise then I win. Everything else is gravy (lowfat of course)!!!

Miss Sparking with you all, but I'll try to start catching up Sunday evening. God Bless you all and have a great Easter!!!

There is light at the end of the tunnel. You can see you just have a few more days and then you can get back into your routine. I hope you are able to get your run in. Let us know how it goes. I feel like I'm running with all of you guys seeing how I can't run right now.

You can track your steps and your miles. The fitness tracker has a way you can do that and the minutes count too. I helps you feel like you're at least doing something when you haven't the time to run. And you are definitely a winner so I know you'll get all those commitments in and some fitness too. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

It's hard keeping up with everything most of the time... especially with a "job" as big as lighting at your church... I give a lot of credit to the people who do sound-board and screens at our church... it's a big job and takes a lot of time to work things out the way they need to be... We don't do a lot with special lighting... But people just coming to church don't realize all the work that goes into making it look easy... We have the same thing with practice for Praise Band/Team... And with the Easter service... I'm only in the 10:45 Contemporary... but the people also in Tech Team and Choir have a lot more to think about and work through... Now adding to that trying to keep up with work and exercising and monitoring your nutrition... It's a BIG job all the way around!!

emoticon emoticon JOB !!! Hang in there!! emoticon

Have a blessed Easter as we celebrate Jesus -our Risen Savior...

You're doing great!! emoticon

Great attitude...You have accomplished so much and are doing it!

Sometimes it is hard getting in even 10 minutes of fitness. Tonight I popped in the new DVD Fit and Fired up with the intention of doing just 1 of the 10 minutes exercises. Instead did 30 minutes....It was easy to start with 10 minutes. The 30 was icing on the cake (sugar free/fat free naturally)!

Sweet dreams... emoticon
