video post vs. links

On my last blog I added a YouTube link which would take you to a video. I was wondering how to post the actual video instead of the link. Can someone tell me how to do it?

My 'little' friend

Awhile back a friend called to tell me this amazing young man would be speaking locally & that I needed to meet him. We went & got to meet this remarkable guy, Nick. Here is just a taste of him. We took pictures with him & have stayed in touch since. Someone recently emailed this.

It came at a time when I was really down & thought I could not get up. I looked up more of his videos & this one was so perfect. I saved it to my desktop so I can remind myself. This is exactly how he is in person. I know this will strengthen you as it did me. Of course I cried as I pulled myself up.

Old Oak Me...(I mean) Tree

My friend shared this & I just had to pass it on...it is so like me.


Im getting old like the old oak tree I used to swing on as a child, my bones creek when the wind blows, I have slowed down no longer growing up but out, my limbs are faltering less leaves, and my wisdom are in the roots that reach deep into the earth. Now when a child gets on that swing and sings I get excited and my leaves sing in the wind of joy of new life

My friend DancingSong had been living in Colorado & was moving back to California. I met her years ago, maybe 25 or so years ago. We were involved in NDN community events & powwow committees & all that. We lost touch about 10 years ago. We found each other over a year ago on Facebook. We had been corresponding & were planning on hooking up. The weekend she arrived in town we planned to meet at a powwow. She was so excited to get back home...she kept quoting Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz saying "There's no place like home". One day she said, "Maybe I need some ruby red slippers like her so I can get home sooner. She tapped her toes & tada...there she was. She flew in & the very next day her son went to visit her. A couple of hours later he walked into the sheriff's station saying he thought he killed his mother. His family is so devastated that they still haven't shared exactly what happened. I do know by newspaper accounts that she died from asphyxiation. My heart was so heavy for her family during these happy holidays. She also passed away on my deceased brother's birthday.
I will always have bittersweet memories on that day. Every time I see or hear of ruby red slippers, for sure I will remember her.
