Gained back All plus 2....

I started this journey weighing in at 318 and got it down to 273. Now 3 years later I am back up to 320. 6 more pounds than when I started this venture. I know that it works since I have made strides to get down to 273 but now it feels so far away. June 1st will mark my start again. I have changed my trackers and set them to my current weight and I will aim for 100 lbs as a good for weight loss. 220.6 will be my new goal to try to strive for and if I lose more than that then its will be a great feeling. I know that my family and I have a vacation planned for June 20-25. I hope that with all the walking that I will be doing I will be able to lose weight that week. I know I have seen alot of blogs with people coming back with more weight than when they left for their trip. Wish me luck this time around and I hope to slowly get my consistancy going again.

    Just be aware that in most cases people gain weight on vacation. They let their guard down, go to places with good food, or enjoy food along with fellow vacationers. Do not let that discourage you, though! As long as you are prepared and know the dangers of a vacation you can keep your guard up and turn it into a healthy adventure!

    Thank for commenting. I know that we can do it again. Just have to stick too it and continue on even if we reach our goals. This is suppose to be a lifestyle change and thats something that I did not change after losing all that weight. Good luck to you too in your weight loss journey.

    I gained back all of my losses too, about 25 pounds in 5 months! Yikes! But I decided that enough was enough and I signed back in to SP just like you did. We can lose it all again and surpass that! Good luck!!

Almost all Weight Gained Back.

A year later I am almost back to my starting weight just 3 pounds shy from reaching it but I know why I got back to this point. It is hard to maintain weight and maintain the way of life you are trying to lead. I would have to say that during the course of the year I just lost the motivation to keep going. It has been like this the past 2 years when I was able to get down to 273 at one point in this weight loss journey. Now back at 315.6 I have to push myself to do something about it. Stop making myself rationalize that oh I will start tomorrow. I messed up today and I will do it better tommorrow. One of my small goals is to get under 300 prior to my family's first trip to Disney World in Late June 2011. That is 3 months to accomplish this goal. That should only be 5.3 lbs a month. However it would be better if I could make that 10lbs per month but I am starting to think of reality now and strive to a smaller more achieveable goal. So first thing that I would need to do is exercise. Drink more water. Track my food. I read blogs from my fellow teammates on how they lost so much and gained it mostly back and I can relate to them and now I will be joining them to try again.

    You have learned so much during the process of losing past weight, I am sure that knowledge will get you to where you want to go. :)

I think exercise will really help you get the most fun out of Disney. You'll have all that stamina and be raring to go! =)

Going for Another 2+ Lbs Loss This week!!!

I am starting to see my weight loss start to take its stride. 2 weeks of 2 pound weight loss. That is the recommened weight loss that Sparkpeople suggest for a long term sucessful weight loss. It has been a pretty rough week in terms of sticking to the plan. I was able to fit in excerise on the weekend and took the kids to the park on Sunda for Easter. I still have to give credit to The Biggest Loser game. Had the first elimination weigh in and I was above the yellow line so I was not nominated to go home. I still think they whould make the weight mre dramatic. That should be what the game should more focus of duplicating. I wanted to be at 300 or less for my daughters baptism on Saturday but it will seem I will might miss it by 2lbs unless this week is a 4 weight loss. Well good luck everyone.

I almost done with week 2 of The Biggest Loser Video Game for the Wii and I will have to admit it really has me going on the days I have workouts with Bob. The game adjust week by week so there is no need to be adjusting the difficulty level. I am currently do the 12 week program on it and I am going to see how far I get through without being eliminated. Yes there are the dreaded weigh in at the end of the week and a challenge. I have yet to encounter an elimination but I will have to see how this week turns out. I lost 2 lbs last week and I am actually hoping for another 2 or maybe 3 pounds. This week I have been putting alot more effort and the workouts have been harder. I still track calories on spark which I then put into the game. The workouts maybe grueling but I feel better attempting them. The only thing that I do not like is workouts using the Wii Balance Board. So I do the workouts with it. The board is not wide enough shoulder wise for me to comfortably do the workouts. There is the option to go through the game without it. I only use the board for the weigh in at the end of the week. The only drawback is that there only graphs they have are the weight loss. Also that weigh in is not as dramatic as I would have wanted. Its not even your weight that is being used in the game. HOwever it is your weight loss that determines the character you chooses outcome. So I just hope that my 2 to 3 pounds will equate to enough for the character. I think it would have been better to incorporate your Mii into this game. But that all Nintendo doing. Bummer.

    I was reading a magazine on the elliptical this morning and they had that game in there and I thought that looked fun! But now after reading your blog I may have to check that game out!

    How is Wii Fit Plus? Is it much better than the first one. I was just wondering. The only problem I find with biggest loser is that the workout in the fitness program give you a rest day between them. That is when I will pull out gold Gym cardio workout to fill in those day with only leaving one day to rest per week.

    Well so far I'm just working out using the Wii Fit Plus doing the Free Step. I really like it and I get up at 6am and do 30 minutes and then when I come home from work I do another 30 minutes. I really would like to try The Biggest Loser game, it seems like such a challenge. I will definitely be looking into that.

    That sounds really strange, how you're playing someone that isn't even you, lol. I have the game on my wish list, but I have a feeling that I'll be eliminated first every week - the balance board is horrible for me and never registers me accurately.

Congrats on making it as far as you have! Remember, it's not all about the weight lost, it's about how YOU feel about yourself.

Day 3 Of The Biggest Loser Video Game for the Wii.

Well in my last blog I told you how I quit the gym to persue more fun things to do. I am today on day 3 of using the Biggest Loser Video game to try to get into shape. Day 1 was full body workout that I was so sore from the 7 minute warm up 23 mintue rountine and 8 minute cool down. Day 2 was a rest day but I substituted it with Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. In that game I tried to aim at throwing at least 1000+ punches. Burned 250 calories in 30 minutes. So far so good. I feel sore but its a good sore. I have been going to the gym for months and have not felt this sore from the workout there. So I think I found something that I like to do and think will help me this week start moving the ticker down the right direction. Weigh in is Sunday of the 12 week program. I just hope its enough to keep me above that yellow line. LOL.

    I found it at my local video game store. It't in all the stores. I like it because I feel that I am on the show when I play it. Now it would be hard to get on the show unless you weighed like 400+ pounds. You get to pick out of nine former contestants and as you lose weight the player loses weight too. I have yet to get to an actual elimination weigh in since I started it but the traingin is great becuse you have Bob and Julian talking you through it. But the whole excitement of the weigh in is great if you dont weight yourself the whole week and see those number tick all over the place to show you your final weigh sounds like a lot of fun.

    I also have just began the The biggest Looser game. It really does work you and its fun because it challenges you in a different way than other work outs. Congratulations on finding something that works well for you, that is tough to do and will keep you motivated.
