A void was filled in my life - even have peace when there are still storms in my life. Emptiness is gone - joy has replaced that - happiness comes and goes but joy remains. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I knew God - even prayed to him - and knew about Jesus that he died and believed that. But what I didn't understand and now do is that Jesus came and died FOR ME. I was the reason He came. Yes He came for the whole world for whoever would believe - the truth is that if I were the only one that He still would come just For Me. It became personal. It is not only for eternal life in heaven but it is fullness of life here on the earth - why wait till we get to heaven to enjoy the benefits - we can have the peace and joy now... Thank You Jesus

John 3:3 I tell you the truth. No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.
John 3:16,17 - God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes on him would not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him.
Romans 10:9,10 - If you confess with you mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your that God raised him from the dead,, you will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it with your mouth you confess and are saved.

I have attained another fitness feat. Today I ran for 8 minutes on the treadmill at 4.6/7 at 1 elevation. I was never a runner- even at a young age I was a little bit of a sprinter fast but not long runner. I never liked running. About 5 years ago when dh & I decided to get fit I would run between telephone poles in the country. Usually he would run ahead and back to me while I walked. I like to walk a fast pace on the treadmill - never run. Since dh runs I have been challenging myself to run for a minute then 2 minutes. Just recently we got new treadmills at the gym and I ran a quarter mile lap. Usually I run 1 min no problem when I get to 2 minutes my legs start crying/shouting/screaming at me stop I hurt - I found that when I get past 2 minutes they shut up and quit hurting. Is that a perfect picture of mind over matter or habits being broken?...

Back to today - I went to the gym late morning - plenty of energy. I decided I was going to just work on the treadmill - I usually go for the elliptical - thought I would run a little maybe challenge myself with upper elevation. I just started after a 5 minute walk to run - I finished 2 minutes then 3 - was watching the laps decided to finish 1 lap 1/4 mile still energy - then ok 5 minutes and on - my goal was to complete 2 laps or 1/2 mile then 8 minutes came a little past 1/2 mile - - - boy did I feel good about that. I was still breathing and legs were still going - I just decided OK this is enough for today. I slowed down for a walk then started increasing the elevation to gradually to 11.

Great time - felt great for this old 57 yr old who does not run emoticon
This may be menial to other but to me emoticon

Just another proof that the change I have seen with SP is so beneficial to my health, fitness, well being. One year ago I could walk but that is about it. No bike riding, no running, high BP, etc.... Today I am a new women compared to one year ago and before SP - just ask dh emoticon

casual ride

We both had the day off and took another ride today.
We didn't get too early start - I wanted to sleep in on my day off and just relax. Stopped by the grocery to pick up some fruit to take with us - we didn't pack a lunch today, decided to get something there. Loaded up the bikes and went to Half Moon Bay - it is cooler there on the coast and not too hilly - ocean view - nice little town - my kind of ride! emoticon
First stop was a Starbucks (shaken unsweet green tea) and Subway (6 in. Veggie Delight) then we headed to the beach parking lot and unloaded. It was instantly cool - packed water in back pack cooler with fruit, nuts, energy bar and water bottle on bike - set to go.
My computer (odometer) was not working. I have had trouble with it in the past of moving off the spoke, I thought the wind from the ride there may have changed it. After stopping and starting several times finally figured it was the connection - now I know for next time...
As we went along the bay and further inland it was instant warmth felt so good from the cool ocean breeze. We came up on a marina and watched some fisherman there cleaning fish and the seagulls and a lonely pelican go after the pieces thrown to them.

We also stopped and went in some of the shops there at the marina - nothing fantastic just checkin' it out. The trail seemed to end there so we took to the streets. Stopping at a couple art/gift shops with things made from coral, flowers and silver sea scapes - interesting! There were a lot of little short streets, I noticed the street names - Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, California...
We headed back then decided to stop and sit on the beach but the fine sand was blowing sand all around us - you open your mouth to speak and ate sand - so we moved on. Stopped at another beach to watch a couple kites - biggest ones I had seen. The pic with all the color was looking right up into the sun to give it all the color - beach was beautiful!




We rode past the beach where our car was on another trail up on the cliff. It was not so nice - hard dirt ruts - very hard and bumpy - we didn't last long on this one and headed back. We loaded up the car and decided to go in to the down town area and walk a round a bit. There are cute little shops and things to see.
On the way back we stopped to see the grandkids for a short surprise visit. Played with baby Emma while the family ate dinner - she is getting so big - teething and rolling over, starting to scootch, almost crawl . emoticon
Had a great full day for just a short ride - I calculated12-15 miles - I think I need to reset my computer but lost the instructions... I could have ridden longer, but dh was ready to quit.
The best thing is I haven't gotten on the scales for 2 weeks - just put them away, changed my fitness and calorie range and have stuck with it - got them out this morn and down a lb. emoticon
...and I work this evening so I rested well - slept in and slow moving this morn - and will have time to get to the gym before work... It was a productive but restful day off! emoticon

Well I had my day planned - but it didn't go as planned... I was a little upset but then it fell into place and ended up being a pretty productive day.

I worked this morning - pretty good day getting lots done - not like prior days with many challenges (but that is another story). I came home thinking DH got the day off and we would do something together - exercise, shop, etc - he went back to work. I could have done some things before coming home but didn't... emoticon

I was very hungry - had a veggie burger and lots of veggies, fresh fruit - in calorie range.
Checked SP and TOOK A NAP - oh I needed that! Don't know when I've done that. DH was supposed to be home - worked over emoticon

So I walked to his work (1 Mi) picked up the car and went to exercise by myself. I got on the treadmill since I had already walked a mile and done strength exercises at home with stability ball and dumbbells. I chose the quick start thinking I would put in time, etc along the way - it auto went to 60 min - I thought ok I can do that or quit anytime... I went for the whole 60 min - some run/jog - some high elevation - and some lower/slower intermittently. I also did some leg raises & knee raises on captains chair there - it was a very good workout listening to my uplifting Christian music . emoticon

I finished in time to pick up DH from work to home. Now the task of dinner. stir fried asparagas & mushrooms while the whole wheat penne pasta cooked, throw it together with some Light Alfredo sauce - walla - good meal - added some fresh pineapple, radishes, and grapes. The whole day under calorie range - enough for pop corn for snack tonight as I blog.
Very productive day in the end - even though not as planned. The laundry didn't get done - but tomorrow is another day - right?! emoticon emoticon

    Wow that sounds like a terrific day! You got a lot done and took good care of you! Your meals sound delicious. How nice that DH works so close to home that you could walk up and get the car! A beautiful day!
