WHY GOD MADE MOMS

Saturday, May 08, 2010

WHY GOD MADE MOMS
Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:
Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.

What kind of a little girl was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your mom marry your dad?
1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time. (Too true!)
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

WHEN YOU STOP LAUGHING -- SEND IT ON TO OTHER MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, AND AUNTS.... and anyone else who has anything to do with kids or just needs a good laugh!!!

The Mommy test...

Friday, May 07, 2010

This is for all great Mommies who have passed the test... emoticon emoticon

I was out walking with my 4-year-old daughter. She picked up something off of the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.

"Why?" my daughter asked.

"Because it's been on the ground; you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs," I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Mama, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart."

I was thinking quickly and replied, "All moms know this stuff...It's on the Mama Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mama."

We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.

"Oh.....I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad."

''Exactly", I replied with a big smile on my face. emoticon

Happy Mothers Day!!!!!!

Question ???

Thursday, May 06, 2010

What makes a successful SP Team?

I am asking you as a team member and also you as a leader or co-leader...

I have read some leaders ask advice, whine, in desperation and heart felt anxiety over a team or team members not participating when reaching out to them. Some teams seem to be very successful and the threads are always a buzzing and some teams hardly have a post except for the team leader chatting alone or SP members posting emoticons for how they feel or how many log in points for the day.

Mind you I am not complaining or trying to stir something up - it is a legitimate question...

Tell me what you think...
What makes a successful SP Team in your opinion...
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

My opinion is that SP team members make the team successful... emoticon emoticon

that's a toughie, you can put out all the ideas but if noone responds...what can you do?

I think the leader of my 40's group is a success, as I get daily mail from her with daily challenges. I don't always respond, but appreciate that she is putting them out there. I don't know how she feels...there may be days when she wonders 'why she does this'.

i think the best teams are those that have daily dedicated communications between the team members. I enjoy the ones where if you put out a question or are looking for help you get someone (usually more than one) to answer. I like the teams with small challenges, that require you to do something and to respond. but that is just me. i need the extra support and having people to communicate with is helping me.

think you are stressed...

Monday, May 03, 2010

Is this how your day is going emoticon

First you had trouble getting out of bed

You had a stiff neck

You washed your hair and couldn't do a thing with it

Your new diet really doesn't seem to be working out

You pulled a muscle when you tried to exercise

Your new hat looked better on you at the store

You keep losing things

You got caught in the rain at lunchtime

Then the lunch you had didn't seem to agree with you

You feel trapped

Uninvited guests showed up at dinnertime

On top of that you think you're coming down with the flu

And finally, you're alone in the house at night when you think you hear a noise in the basement.

MAYBE TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER!!
Thought for the Day

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away.
RELAX!!!

I got one of those this morning (on a blog post from a couple of weeks ago) and was totally confused. I was thinking, "What?! I got married 5 years ago so why is she talking to me about fitting into a wedding dress?!" LOL. Needless to say I did not click the link :)
