Day 30 - A picture of you last year and now, how have you changed since then?
It is really hard for me to actually find pictures of myself. I am usually the one BEHIND the camera, not in front of it. I so rarely like the pictures of myself for whatever reason I would prefer it that way. So after some digging...
This is a picture of me from August 1, 2010
This picture was taken of me yesterday.
If you are looking for the stats here they are. Last year on this date I was 122. Which is 9 pounds over my goal weight. As of this morning I weighed 129, which is the exact weight I started out when I joined SP in August 2008. That is not the way I would have prodicted back in July 2009 when I reached my goal weight.
That doesn't exactly tell the whole story. I am stronger that I was in 2008. I have muscle definition in my arms and legs. I have more energy, I am calmer (for the most part) and my BP is AWESOME! I am still in my size 4's ( I was in a size 8 when starting SP). My trouble spot is my belly. It still there and is the same as I remember it in 2008. I am not happy about that.
That is still not the whole story. I eat better than I did in 2008. I KNOW more about nutrition and I make a conscious choice to follow or not to follow that knowledge. I didn't gain all the weight back by eating junk. I gained it back from eating TOO MUCH! YES! You can do that.
Again, that is still not the whole story. I am NOT the same person I was in 2008, or 2009 or even 2010. I made a huge mistake in my personal life in 2008 and didn't deal with it until the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011. Let me tell you one thing...if you ignore it, it DOESN'T go away. I am on the road to healing but I still have a way to go.
In 2010 I made some really good friends here on Spark. Not just acquaintances but true friends. You know who you are. I thank all of you for being there for me!
So how have I changed in the past year. Well, the only way I can answer that is I am a living, breathing person that is still learning and evolving. One great quote I found (if you know me, you know I am a collector of great quotes) is this: "Never become so much of an expert that you stop gaining expertise. View life as a continuous learning experience." - Denis Waitley
Thanks for all of you who have followed my never ending Picture Bog!!

Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of
uggg! I was looking for images on spiders and just seeing them on my computer screen my heart started racing!
No reason to be scared of them, I totally get that...It doesn't stop me!
